Hi, I'm Sandy...aka Bama Mom. This will be my first solo trip but the gentleman I rented DC points through did add my hubby just in case he decided to tag along. He isn't a Disney fan at all. I had planned to go the last week in January but I couldn't get a studio I wanted renting through DVC so I just changed to the next week and was able to have a studio secured just today. I had also considered a split stay with Pop and AKL but it's cheaper to stay at AKL the whole time. It's a new resort for me so I'm looking forward to it. I stayed at Grand Floridian this February so it's gonna be hard to top, but I wanted to try a new to me deluxe and still keep costs as low as possible. February and November are my two preferred time to go to Disney especially if my hubby is with me. He loves the cooler weather because he is very hot nature. I am the opposite and I am still comfortable in February with leggings and a sweatshirt. Again, I look forward to seeing who all else will be going in February.

BTW, I believe the dance comps at Disney are January 31st-February 2nd and the cheer comps are February 7th-10th but they usually don't have an affect on my stay when I am there during those times. But that could be because I don't stay at the same resorts they do.

Hello! My stay overlaps January and February so happy to join in here too. My trip is January 29 to February 6.

Currently booked at CBR but that's subject to change (mostly waiting for the skyliner closure dates).

Thank you for starting a February thread - I'd love to join here too!

This will be our first trip to WDW for our honeymoon 🥰 Coming from Perth, Australia.

27-31 Jan: Poly - lake view studio
31 Jan - 7 Feb: BLT - standard view studio
7-10 Feb: AKL - savanna view studio

I am now officially a DVC rental convert lol! Super excited for Poly and AKL, and BLT for proximity to MK but a little nervous about the refurb.

For those looking at All Stars, I can confirm that hotel availability will be impacted by the cheer comps. When we were planning to get married at Disney we looked into doing a room block. We were advised that none of the All Stars resorts would be available from 6 Feb.

Thanks for starting this thread! We will be returning once again for a February trip. It is usually a little cool in early February, but that is fine with us. :) We were able to get a 35% discount with the bounce back for the Wilderness Lodge, which is always a good deal.

WL - Feb 2-6

:)

Thanks for starting! We're coming in February 1 - 7, renting points to stay at the Grand Floridian (which is still mindboggling to me).

Our travel party will be me, my 6 year old daughter, my mom, my brother, and my best friend. My mom, daughter, and I did a trip in May of 2023 and had an absolute blast. It was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip for my kiddo... and, well, we see how that "once" held up!

This round, my brother wanted to join. Then, we realized I had an extra bed in our studios, so I invited my best friend. She's promptly gotten the Disney bug even harder than I have, and it's too fun! So 4 adults and one very happy little girl who asks me on a regular basis how many days till our trip. If she were older, she'd be on these boards too!

Hi! I am still finalizing our dates but we are planning to go 2/4-2/11ish and staying at BLT (or potentially doing a split stay with SSR for the first couple nights, I need to decide that this week so I can book it). It will be my husband, myself, and our 2 year old daughter. We are also planning to meet up with some friends who are going the same time and have kids the same age. We were just there in May 2023, and Dec 2022 so this will be our daughter’s 3rd trip (my 7th and my husband’s 6th… I think). She is already a Disney junkie, Minnie and Piglet are her current faves 🩷

Aw, Congrats on your wedding! I considered BLT. In fact if when I was chatting with the gentleman I rented points from her on the Dis BLT was my second choice if he couldn't get AKL. Both are new to me resorts and so I would have been happy with either one.

I was wondering if you'd be going back in February. This is my solo trip I mentioned convinced hubby about in the February 2024 thread. Of course he could decide to come along, who knows.

Oh that's gonna be fun. We rented DVC points for the first time this year and stayed at GF. It was my dream resort and I can't believe I actually got to stay there. Its a beautiful resort.

Keep us updated and I can update the info in the opening post of the thread. February is my favorite time to go weather wise. Its perfect for people like my husband and I who are opposites in the temps we are comfy in.

I will!

And yes, I’m stoked for a February trip! My others have been mid-September, October (x2), early Dec (x2), and mid-May. Early Dec is my fave so far but I suspect February will be up there too. My husband is also always sweating so I think we’ve decided Nov-Feb is our sweet spot.

Tagging in to ask ---how did you find the crowds early December compared to May? My only other recent trip was early May and it was spectacularly uncrowded. Assuming early Dec is worse but, hopefully, not complete madness? I know the crowd calendars exist but I'm dreaming of a holiday-time trip and would love your take!

Hmm probably pretty close to same actually. Well the first time we went in early December was 2017 and it wasn’t bad at all, this past December was definitely more crowded than 2017 but still not awful (I’m assuming, since I’ve never been during spring break or Christmas or anything like that!). Definitely not complete madness! We would for sure go back in early December.

Officially have our rooms booked! I decided to do two nights at AOA in a lion king suite before moving to BLT because I know my 2yo daughter will just love getting to see AOA. I figure we’ll plan on hanging out around the hotel on our arrival day so she can check everything out and then take advantage of the skyliner to do HS for our first park day.

So, our dates are now 2/4-2/6 at AOA and 2/6-2/11 at BLT.

She will be happy in the pool the entire time. It is a very fun pool. :)
