*-Official February 2015 Thread-*

Sorry to hear about Mom and dad health issues. Hope all is well.
I would like to know does everyone use up all there DP credits during their trip? Weather it would be CS or TS? Just curious.

Everything is going well, don't worry! Mostly I put that note in there because I didn't want to feel like a spoiled kid or something. Dad is back to 97% and Mom gets better every day. I'll check out the app when I can, thanks for the tip!

Fun story about the DP for us.... I've only ever used it twice. Once, my DBFF and I used them all because she made sure we did. Last time with the family we had 4 meals left over because Dad didn't listen when I explained the system to him. He was paying for his after-park sub sandwiches OOP. If he HAD listened, then we definitely would have used them up. We'll see how it goes this time with Mom on a strict plan.

Thanks Dreamport! Apparently I was being rather melodramatic, because I was able to grab an 8:25 res just minutes after writing that. :thumbsup2 The same thing happened when I complained about not getting BOG. Go figure.

Anyone know what time we can get into the park for an 8:25 res? Park opens at 9 that day. Trying to time our arrival.

Glad it worked out!! Maybe I should try complaining about BOG. Try getting to the park by at least 8am. That will give you 25 minutes to head up Main Street USA, get some lovely "empty park" pictures and check in for your ressie. This is going off what a Cast Member told us before. About a half hour early is best.

Hi. Popping in here to ask a question on behalf of my daughter who is making her first WDW trip the first week of February.
Is it warm enough for sandals on the kids?

Sorry, I've only gone the last week, but i know I've worn sandals then and felt just fine. Hopefully someone else will know for you.

Hey all! I'm still fairly new to the boards, but DH and I are going to be heading up Feb 9-11 for a celebration extravaganza. We're going to be staying in the FW Cabins (loop 2300 if all goes according to plan) and still plan on kilting up for the days.
We hope we get to meet some of y'all while we're there though!

Hey there, welcome to the board! Are kilts allowed at Disney World? That would be so fun! Sadly we won't be there the same week but I hope you can do a meet with someone else. What are you celebrating during your extravaganza?

I think you will love the FW cabins.

Oh don't get me wrong, we LOVE the cabins. Its been our home resort for the last 4 trips out I also managed to convince my anti-woodsy MiL to trust me on the cabins for their Fam reunion and she fell in love with them too. Something she muttered about being able to close the door on her GD and GS and the golf carts and a boat as opposed to buses. :cool1:

Oh yes! Everytime we kilt up, we get giant smiles from the cast and nearly EVERYONE comments on how we need to go see Merida (which was a given because she stole my hair anyways).
The good news is were Fl natives, so were never too far from the happiest place, so even if this trip pans out with no one to meet, hopefully the next one will.
We'll actually be up there for our one-day ValenBirthAversary extravaganza lol. It'll be my 25th birthday and DH and my's 5th Anniversary! So far weve got dinner at the Wave and Pirates & pals fireworks voyage as well as lunch at T-rex for the next day (since thats where we spent our 1st Anniversary)

And the other shoe drops. MK is now opening at 8AM on the 17th. I should have known something was up when I was able to get an even earlier res at 8:10. When I called, the CM told me that we "should" still be able to get into the park a little early, so I am still deciding whether to cancel.

We weren't planning to race to any of the rides, and I doubt we could sneak our kids past the pre RD show even if we could get in early. So we are essentially looking at an expensive meal taking up the first hour that the park is open without any perks.:confused3

Hi. Popping in here to ask a question on behalf of my daughter who is making her first WDW trip the first week of February.

Is it warm enough for sandals on the kids?

It was for us last February. Of course, I also wore flip flops in December in 40 degree weather and was fine so I may not be the best judge.

We leave Feb. 27, 2015 for 9 days at Wilderness Lodge and I'm so freaking excited!!!!!! 43 days!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

It really depends on the weather, which is a toss-up during this time of year. When we went in 2012, it was cold when we arrived (high 40's, low 50's) and warmed up the whole week. By the end of the vacation, highs were in the low to mid 80's, with temps dropping to 40's and 50's at night.

I'd bring sandals, but also bring gym shoes for the kiddos, just in case.

Just got a text from USPS my magic bands have arrived at the Denver PO! SO close yet so far away! I am hoping they arrive at my home either Friday or Saturday!!!

Two work weeks left then YIPPEE off to Denver to check into hotel prior to flying to my second home!:love::yay::yay:

19 days to go.
Feels so far away still.
I work in a Nursery and have had Disney CD's on all week.
Getting so impatient.

Magic bands are finally on their way! I received the shipping email this morning. So relieved.
16 days to go, and I am 99% done planning.
I keep checking to see if I can get a breakfast ressie for Crystal Palace one of the days we'll be there, but that's the only loose end & not a huge priority. Do they take walk ins?
DH will be traveling for work the next two weeks & I'm hoping that weather will be on our side & he'll be back before our flight to Orlando. Worst case scenario, I fly alone with the kids & he meets us there, but that is such a worst case scenario, that I don't even want to think about it.
I think I'll go distract myself by reading happy trip reports :)

Got our magic bands yesterday in the mail. We opened them right before dd's bedtime.

I woke DH up this morning by whispering "14 days from today, we'll be waking up to leave for vacation!"

So excited!!! And I have a phone interview today for a new job- Wish me luck!

Awesome! And here is some pixie dust for knocking that interview out of the park! Wishing you well!

Joining in! We just booked our trip for February 27-March 6 - March Break up here in Canada. We are staying off site - not sure where yet. We are considering a house at Windsor Hill, Bonnet Creek or Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa.

There will be 5 of us, me and DH, and 3 kids - DS8, DS6 and DD1. They have no idea and we plan to surprise them the morning we leave! So excited!

Welcome, BabyHabs! Guessing by your username that you're a Montreal resident then? ;)

ALSO - I only just found out that Cinderella's Coach from the new movie is going to be in Hollywood Studios starting February 1st. I may die of happy. (I also kind of want to go the first day it's there but I'm sure it's going to be just insanity.)

Glad to hear the great news on getting your bands. Also good luck to you in your job interview.

19 days here too!!! Almost there and I think at this point, were all most likely getting impatient, I know I am. :cool1:

Well today was a good day! Not only did I survive the work day, but MY PINK MAGIC BAND arrived as did all of my new kitchen cabinets! Nice day.

So needless to say I have started packing, however the only thing in my suitcase right now is my magic band! Woo hoo.

Nice to see some of the MIA February peoples posting on the board again!

Not much longer now!
