No alice & wonderland?
No mad tea party?
No Fantacy Faire?
Mmm...I had read these are usually open too. We will be there on a very busy weekend (Dapper Days) so even though I think Magic Morning will be busier On our Tuesday...I'm thinking we will opt for MM Tuesday & and go to DCA on Sat when Dineyland has their magic morning...hoping to do the opposite of the masses.

Oh sorry Alice was open too. We actually were the first riders of the day! Teacups were not, my kids and DH would have ridden if so. I'm not sure about Fantasy Faire.

First riders of the day! Very impressive! I'm getting so excited. I made 2 reservations for BB Fantasmic...planning to keep which ever one weather looks better for.

Looking forward to valentines weekend to help pass time. Spent this past Sunday building vday boxes with kids...if I knew how to post a pic I would share-turned out so cute, one was a bird house & one a castle!

Yay! I figured it out! Thank you!

Your welcome.
Those boxes really are very cute I want one! :)
Preferably with chocolate candies please or chocolate covered strawberries and or chocolate covered caramel apple. Is that asking too much? ;) lol Hey, what can I say? I am a chocolate baby! Baby! :)

Oh wow, I can't believe I'm saying this...but the tarp looks better than all that scaffolding. I read they took it down due to high winds. I assume it will go back up when wind advisory is done.

2 weeks from this moment, my DD and I will be in the skies over Montana heading from YEG to LAX. Now the hardest part of the trip planning has begun...the anticipation and waiting.

I'll be in my happy place for one day a week from today! I was there in December for my 4 day birthday trip and I feel lucky that I am able to squeeze in this one day during our week long college road trip vacation with my niece!!!

Agree...the wishing well area was open last night too, I got a really nic photo of it

We just got back last night and had a fabulous time. We were in San Diego last week (some beach time, a couple days at Legoland, etc.), and then DL Sunday-Wednesday.

We found crowds very manageable, and we didn't even notice all the ride closures, for the most part. Sunday was pretty busy, but we found Monday-Wednesday to not be bad at all. On Tuesday afternoon, Indy was 15 minutes, HM was 5 minutes, etc. Magic Morning/EMH was pretty insane on Tuesday, though. We went straight to Fantasyland and Alice was already 40 minutes when we got there. There wasn't much open, so the few rides that were open had super long lines. We got into line for the princesses at 9:40 (they opened at 10) and then were told at 9:58 that they wouldn't be opening until 10:30 that day. But we came back at around 1:00, and it was only a 5 minute wait.

The high point of the trip was definitely the GCR. We had a theme park view room, right in front of Grizzly Peak, and it was just lovely. I could have spent all day just sitting on the balcony, listening to the area music. I think I'm spoiled for life, after that!

Best subcriptions or best places to go to download movies to ipad (for kids)-not streaming??

Trying to see where would be best to download some movies for when we are NOT connected to wifi for kids on ipad...any suggestions?:hyper2:

Went to pack up the new Disney back packs I ordered from amazon (for both DD's) with Valentine goodies for our trip (planning to give as present for valentines)...only to realize one came with a broken zipper! Argh! Anyways, drove around to see if I could find similar in store in town, only to break down and purchase another one (identical) to replace broken zipper one. Glad I found this out sooner vs. later...:magnify:

We got home late last night. Overall, we had a lovely trip. The travel days/flying were a bit rough though. Originally we thought we might go back to Disneyland next year. But after the awful flights, we may stick to vacations within driving distance for a few years instead.

To me, crowds were much worse than previous January/February trips we've taken (or when we lived nearby) - 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 (for reference.) But I'd heard that even the "slow" season just isn't that slow anymore. I still think this time of year is probably one of the best times, crowd wise. So while it's crowded, in my opinion, it's the best it's going to get. We were in the parks last Wednesday and Thursday. Then this Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Sunday and Monday were the worst as far as crowds and lines go. The other days, the lines weren't too bad but the walkways were pretty congested in some areas.

Our son is 16 months old and I think he had a pretty good time. He loved meeting characters and he enjoyed some of the better lit dark rides like Buzz and It's a Small World.

Other than the flights, the only bad part for us was that our son got really sick of being in his stroller. And because he's not the steadiest walker yet and it was so crowded, there wasn't really anywhere for him to walk. So he was forced to stay in his stroller. We went back to the hotel every afternoon so he could nap and/or play and walk around the room. Then we'd head to the parks for a few more hours. But by 7pm he was just pissed off and we'd have to head back for the night. So if I had it to do over again, I think I'd wait until any future child is steadier on their feet. We had back of days for April but I really didn't want to use them because the flight options were awful and I knew it would be way too hot.

Speaking of weather...even February was too hot for me for a few hours each day. I was sweating to death in shorts and a t-shirt but I saw people in sweatshirts and pants. Ugh. The nights were nice where I needed a sweatshirt. But the heat of mid-day was pretty awful. I was glad our last park day was Tuesday because yesterday was gross.

We got to go on almost every ride we wanted at least once. And then we rode some multiple times. I think we were able to do a bit more than I expected. Though we did skip a few things because we knew our son wouldn't enjoy them.
