*****Official February 2015 Thread! Come check in and chat!*****

Honestly, if multiple rides are going to be closed AND no fireworks for WOC, they really should offer some sort of ticket discount like the 5-day hopper for the price of a 3-day or something.

I agree and this is why I haven't bought my tickets yet. I am not counting on a discount, but I think there is a sliver of a chance so I am waiting. I think if nothing is offered by mid January, I will buy- so I am hoping the Orbitz deal is still active then!

That is where I am lucky, coming from Australia we were able to get a 10 day pass for $364.00 only $10.00 more than the 5 day, though it is still disappointing having them closed, as we may not get back to do it all again.

A few years ago we got the 5-day at the 3-day price which was really nice. We were actually only planning on hitting the parks for 3 days so it was nice to have those two extras. One day it was over 100 degrees so we just went on Space Mountain and then left...haha.

This time, we want to do 5 days. But would love to get the cheaper price, for sure.

Will keep my fingers crossed they will bring out a discounted ticket between now and then for you guys...you just never know what may happen

2 years ago we got a Costco deal that came with a Costco gift card. When you discount for the Costco card, 4 days was $10 more than 2. That deal was out by now though, we went in early December.

So when was everyone's last trip to Disneyland? How many times have you been?

Our last trip was late September/early October 2010. We drove from Nebraska to California and back. It was a blast....even though the temps were over 100 while we were there.

I've been to the parks over 200 times since my first visit in 2004. Most of those were during the year and a half I lived in Orange.

Actual vacation trips for me = 10. This will be 11. Woohoo!

All of my trips are in my signature but this will be my 8th trip, DH's 9th and our son's 7th. The last time we were there was this August. We got APs September 2013, went for my birthday this March and decided to squeeze in one last AP trip in August. We had decided that we were going to take a break from DL for 12-18 months and go to WDW in early 2015 but while we were down in August, DH told me that the idea of not going back to DL for more than a year was not something he really liked so WDW has been moved to November or December 2015 and that brings us to our Feb 2015 trip to DL! :cool1:

I made our first dining reservation this evening, Blue Bayou for F! on the 10th, yay! :cheer2:

So when was everyone's last trip to Disneyland? How many times have you been?

We were last there Dec 2008 over New Years. It'll be our second trip but my husband's 3rd (he went when he was 6).

I don't think discounted tickets is a fair reimbursement for closures. Disney should replace it with something else. I really don't understand why they had to cancel the fireworks. I don't want to have a whinge but I'm emailing Disney my disappointment because we're coming from Australia and it's beginning to feel like a waste of money. I know we'll still have fun and there's lots to do but I'll always be thinking what I'm missing out on.

This will be 9th trip. Last one was Jan 2013. So use to rain and some ride closures but lower crowds. That was NAAM weekend but crowds were still low.

My first trip was in 1984. Since then, I don't know how many trips, roughly 25. Before kids we had APs for a few years and visited 3-4 times a year. This was during the years of a million dreams and we cracked the code on finding the dream squad. Never won a big prize, but we did win a dream fast pass about 12 times, 3-4 hats, lanyard and a free picture. We joke about that free ion lanyard because we resisted pin trading until we needed to fill that up. A full pin book later, that free lanyard has made Disney a lot of money!

My last trip was Dec 2012. This is the longest between trips in probably 10 years.

My husband and kids' first trip ever. I went when I was 6 last. It was the 80s. I am counting it as our first trip :) Can't wait!

When was the year of a million dreams stuff? I think that may have been when we went 200 times. Never once got a dream thingy...ha!

As far as the fireworks, I heard that after Christmas it was going to be Fantasy in the Sky but now the rumor is there won't be any. So we'll see, I guess.

I hate that it takes DLR so long to put their schedule out. At WDW, it's out months in advance.

Year of a Million Dreams was 2007-2008. We received dream hats, Fast passes and a special private meet and greet with 2 princesses of our choice. It was fun.

Oh. I don't know why I thought it was the same time as the 50th stuff. Duh...haha. Yeah, we didn't go a ton in 2007. Just the first 3 months. And then a couple other short trips. We didn't go at all in 2008. Instead we went to WDW.

I'm still waiting on a great ticket deal but getting nervous - the Canadian dollar is sinking like a rock and every day I wait the trip costs more. :(

As for trips -
I went with my parents in around 1983 and 1996. We went to the World in 1988.

I went with my own children and hubby in 2008 and 2010. We were there for the Give a Day, Get a Day promotion which was AMAZING.

I'm really surprised that they haven't announce SOMETHING yet for this year - a theme, a promotion, something the trips I've taken my kids on have been Feb, March and both times there was something special happening.

Two of our children have never been, and one of our kiddos was 6 months old so basically it's a first trip for our three little people.

Well, there won't be anything special the first half of the year. But the 2nd half will be the 60th celebration.

It's my son's first trip too.

I know what you mean! I think our tanking dollar is going to make it so that we will have to get our park hoppers through Flightcentre since they are the only place that sells in Canadian funds. :(

Most of the closures I can deal with. But I am really upset that Small World is going to be closed for our trip. And possibly the train too.

Now I am just getting really mad.

These are the closures for January 26th (the farthest out the calendar goes.)
