Official February 2014 Thread...

Well the January thread is about dead...so guess I'll join in here. Flight leaves 8am tomorrow morning! We'll be down there through Sunday. Can't wait!

We leave on Sunday!!!!! :cheer2:
I've managed to remove clothes from my boy's closets every day (so they don't suddenly see a huge gap) and get it into the basement ready for picking on Friday. I have all their activities in their flight bags so they can pack their bed time toys when we wake them up on Sunday and we're good to go!! Garden Grocer confirmed our order yesterday so we have snacks and fruit ready too!

Just need to buy some ear plugs because DS1 is a bit sensitive to loud noises which makes it hard for him to enjoy a lot of attractions. Roll on Sunday!!!!!!!

Temps with wind chill below zero. My flight leaves Sunday. :cool1:

I will be getting lots of rest between now and then because my sinuses are under attack. Drinking lots of liquids and vitamin C. I refuse to let this ruin my get away.

At first I was hoping for 70 but if we get 80 then I'll be happy to sit by the pool and read a book. I've given myself permission to just be happy and relaxed. I bet many of us don't get that chance often.

I can't believe I leave in 4 days and a sleep.
good vibes :goodvibes the weather cooperates and I get there Sunday.

Off to organize things so that I can hopefully have my bags packed and by the door soon. DH will find that funny. He was the one that joked with me why I didn't already have that set. LOL

:dance3: Happy packing everyone. It's almost February.

Why would I need a fast pass for the electric parade?

Oh and spoke to my friend... We will get magic bands at check in (though I wonder if you can still get whatever colors you want) and he also said we can purchase our park tickets at the hotel too and we can then try to get the fast passes. I am hoping to get my son to see the talking Mickey in Town Square for his birthday. He will go crazy!

I'm so used to having my tickets before going, my hubby is throwing me off. Now just to figure out if Memory Maker still lets you add borders and such to your photos like PhotoPass does... Anyone have any info on that?

If you can link your reservation to MDE you should still be able to customize them. They'll just get picked up at the resort instead of shipped :)

3 days and 5 1/2 hours . . .

All of my "stuff" is spread out on the bed in the extra room. Really struggling with my packing. Even though the weather is supposed to be beautiful next week (or at least that's how it's showing in the forecasts) I'm having a hard time deciding what to bring. For some reason, I'm not able to embrace my normal summer wardrobe of sundresses and shorts. Just don't think I'll personally be that warm no matter what the temp. I'm leaning towards yoga/exercise pants (capri and full length) with lots of long-sleeved t-shirts, light sweaters, sweatshirts, some tank tops, and a pair of jeans. I'm thinking that with that stuff, layering should work out well. I'm also bringing 2 maxi dresses with a sweater or light jacket for any evening that I want to dress-up a little. A couple pairs of sneakers and some flip flops.

We're driving down from freezing NJ, so I'll be wearing warm clothes and comfortable but cute boots (and therefore have that stuff as a nice back-up just in case.)

OK - I'm just babbling at this point.

I'm so excited!!

I'm so excited!!

Sounds like a good variety and layering if needed. But honestly when I was there in November the forecast was the same temps and I only one night wore a sweatshirt and that was DTD.

Oh honey if you are driving down from NJ you are golden on what you packed. If needed you do have a car to go off resort and not spend a fortune to pick up that Ooops I wish I had.

Honestly I'm not bringing as much as I did in November. 1 because it's less days but 2 I didn't even need everything I brought. Even my worry about my jacket matching my clothes, I've backed off on that one too. It coordinates but isn't the "Perfect match" I would do at home.
Cute boots, nope just sneakers.

Again I'm alone so I'm not going to much "fancy" that I would need a dress or dresser than sneakers or flip flops.

I'm really going to work on getting my suitcase ready to sit by the door tonight. But I think I will need to do a little laundry to fulfill my list.

well dinner time to think about.
Happy packing everyone.

Why am I so much more excited tonight? :cheer2:

pixiedust: Pixie dust here I come!!!!!

Wahooo!!!!
24 days and I've got my Magic Bands and my Magical Express packet!!!!!
I've been waiting for a year and now it's almost here :woohoo:

Well.....we leave in 4 days and my poor DD8 is sick with a high fever. Shes been sick a few days and she just can't shake it. I am worried about her and at the same time stressing big time over my other DD catching it, or DH or myself. I've almost come to the certainty that at least one of us will catch it...oh the worries! I've been so excited, and now I've barely given our trip any thought, except for the "what ifs". Ugh........

My biggest fear! We leave the same day.

Have you been to doctor? If it's something antibiotics can help they can give her a shot to get her better faster.

I'd completely quarantine her from everyone else ! Can she have a bathroom all to herself? Lysol!!

Oh no! How about a call to the dr? Maybe they can rule out something easy that can be treated with antibiotic. Or if it is the flu..tamiflu can help? Otherwise, I am sure you are all doubling up on the vitamin C, etc. Hang in there!

you would think with the cold around here that those nasty germs wouldn't stand a chance. ugh I've talked to quite a few people who have been sick with colds and I've hardly been out but guess what, I have one now.
I leave Sunday and am a little worried that with the sleety rain they are calling for and flying the weather pattern and flying is going to kill my ears.
Taking deep breathes and hoping for the best.

However I can't even imagine traveling with a sick child. My heart goes out for you and your family. I hope everyone is well by Sunday and through your trip. I feel like it's a good reminder for me to pack what I know Disney probably doesn't have for cold comfort supplies. Since I won't have a car I'll be bringing soft tissues for my nose and other cold meds.

Germ free hugs to everyone.

oh and don't forget the hand sanitizer and wash your hand frequently especially down there.

Next week at this time, my fiancé and I will be enjoying our first day at Disney World. I can't wait to get away for a week! :cool1::cool1: We are staying at the DVC part of the Grand Floridian from the 5-12. I'm hoping for low crowds and nice weather!!!

i leave 6:50 monday morning. i am so nervous that i'm going to get sick again or that someone else in my party will. OR that it will snow again and mess up my flight. i love the feb weather/crowds in disney but ugh SO MUCH STRESS!
