*Official* DWTS 2012 Thread

I just read this regarding Maks' rough treatment of Hope last week. Very interesting that she considered quitting the show right after. So I guess those of us who were shocked and outraged by his manhandling her were correct, Hope was upset too!

Hope Solo: "I Almost Quit" Dancing With the Stars

Us Weekly – 19 minutes agoEmail
Maksim Chmerkovskiy's temper gets the best of him sometimes.

During last week's Dancing with the Stars rehearsals, the 31-year-old pro placed a firm hand on partner Hope Solo's shoulder in an effort to make a point. The soccer star, 30, told Ryan Seacrest's KIIS FM show Monday that she "almost quit" after the incident.

"I want everybody to know out there that as a strong, independent woman that stands up for herself, I would never just let that go unnoticed," she said. "Outside of the cameras, [Maks] knows that he was in the wrong. He will be the first one to stand up to that."

Solo clarified that she "didn't just sit back and let that happen," and added that a similar incident "will never happen again."

"I almost quit the show right then and there," she said. "I almost walked out, but I told myself I am in this for the long-haul, through all the bumps and bruises."

But Solo pointed out, "You can tell I didn't really flinch."

Seacrest agreed: "No, you were ready to throw down!"

Fortunately, Solo got out her anger by talking things out with Chmerkovskiy.

Last month, the Ukrainian pro lashed out at judge Len Goodman after he called their rumba their "worst dance of the season."

"I've been in this business for 50 years," Goodman argued.

"Then maybe it's time to go!" Chmerkovskiy barked back, even referring to DWTS as "my show."

He explained his outburst to the Hollywood Reporter: "I feel like it's my show, and together, with other pros, I dedicated six years of my life to this show...I've helped make it what it is, but I've never taken it away from anybody else who participated."

I think, I HOPE that Nancy leaves tonight.

Her jive was sooooo slooooww, I was getting bored with it.

And her clip with Tristan, about how she gets up at 5 am with her twins AND has a full time job sure doesn't get her any sympathy.

flipped it on and the first thing I see/hear is Rob sharing the fact that he graduated from USC, AGAIN....I am not sure if he thinks it is the Bee's Knee's of Degree's, or that he honestly has nothing else in his life that he feels has been worthy. :confused3 either way, he needs to get another line.

I'm so excited - I love Kenny, Jerry and Len together. It is one of my favorite result nights. I know I have a warped sense of humor :-)

Does anyone else think the jumbo video/pictures of the contestants in the background are kinda creepy? They blink and move in uber slow motion.

Just watching now, loved the whole jazzy performance! And I too am a fan of "Dance Center"! Those guys are pretty darn funny.:thumbsup2

Have they said yet who's in the bottom two??

I'm watching Ringer. It sounds like I'm missing a lot tonight on DWTS.

Nope, just that Rob is in jeapordy

Nah, not really,(not yet anyway) just funny that the show made fun of Rob's USC obsession.

OK , I just sprayed the screen with that clip of pastey white Len.

That means he's one of the last two.

I tuned in and saw THAT! :scared1:

It's great to see Len has a sense of humor about himself. :lmao:

They could have used the blur spot during Nancy's dance last night :rolleyes1

:lmao:

Last TWO:

Rob & Cheryl
Nancy & Tristan

GOING HOME:
Nancy & Tristan

That's the right call. Nancy is the worst of the five who were left. And Tristan is a saint to have had her as a partner!:lmao:

The spoof about Maks was funny too. Loved the credits.

Loved Dance Center! Tristan is a good guy--I really hope he becomes a regular.

Tristan is probably going to put up his dancing feet tonight, get sloshed on Irish whiskey and feel very relieved.

Love Dance Center! :thumbsup2

So glad that Nancy went home, she really amazed me when she said she thought her tango was good. She sure has a high opinion of herself!

I don't really like Rob but he has improved. I was surprised when Cheryl said it had been awhile since she got this far. She can claim the best freestyle, so that should be a big plus for Rob if they make it to the finals.

Really excited for next week!
