In the comments people were discussing that they haven't recognized perfectly dumbos yet and the 5th anniversary for that is this year. Not buying it. Why would they recognize every other challenge except for Dopey? Doesn't make sense.

Not sure what this means: "they haven't recognized them yet"? The race weekend hasn't happened yet so this is confusing to me.In the comments people were discussing that they haven't recognized perfectly dumbos yet and the 5th anniversary for that is this year.
I just read that Perfect Tinks got a cheap pocket mirror and Perfect Princess got a sash and plastic tiara...hooray?I don't recall any special recognition for being perfect for Wine & Dine until the program came out. "Perfect" was (and has been since) marked on our bibs and we got a special lanyard. We also got a flimsy plastic flipper. (My most coveted Disney souvenir. EVER.) [/sarcasm]

I do think the special bibs and ribbons on the medals are cool...and cool to have your name in the program. But giving out "gifts" like these is just bizarre to me...it makes them look cheap!I glad they show their appreciation towards participants who have invested so much time and money.![]()
Here are some screenshots of the discussion. I just thought itssinteresting so that's why I mentioned it.
That's true too. 5 years seems to be the milestone where they start recognizing it, so maybe the runners aren't "officially" perfect because the 5th Dopey hasn't happened yet.Maybe it is just a matter of semantics? They may not officially be recognized as legacy or perfect until the event takes place; therefore the disavowal of knowledge. Just like you don't progress in your Castaway Club membership level until after you have completed a cruise.
Do we know if Perfect Donalds got anything?![]()
Maybe! That would be surprising since there are still Perfect marathoners...seems more likely to be able to do the half for 20 years compared to the marathon but I don't see any names in the program so maybe you're right!I've been doing these races for a very long time and I have not heard of any Perfect Donalds. Maybe there aren't any?
Excellent point! As far as Perfectly Dopey goes, my advice is to do it because you like it, not because of any possible "gift" that they give the legacy runner. For Goofy #5 we received a sash. Goofy #10 we were given a shirt and a small plaque. I also have 12 race weekends/vacations of Disney memories with my family and literally hundreds of miles of running around Disney World that are more precious than the sash and swag.
I am less worried about being able to get a spot on Tuesday, since the AP/DVC registrations are still not sold out. Not that I won't be on the site clicking refresh at 11:45 eastern.....
I said it before, these races won't sell out quickly.
AP/DVC folks are proving it out ..... if they'd sell out at regular price, Disney wouldn't have offered any discounts.
Supply/Demand ... Disney's best friend and worst enemy.
