Official Disney Cake Chatter - Part V!

I ordered once from Daisy cakes Orlando and it was pumpkin flavored. It was the best cake we tasted and was delicious and soft. The fondant was toffee flavored and we ate pieces of it alone. It was 6 inch but we ate over many days. It fit in the Art of Animation suite fridge with a tray removed in the box it came in. You would have to carry it from the restaurant (we ordered at Boma) back to your resort so plan on it being an end of day thing. You can’t light candles in your room. It was so beautiful people stopped by and asked where we got it.

This time we are ordering half strawberry and half vanilla (6 year old’s demand) baby Moana with wave theme to be delivered to Boma.
Thank you!!

We are celebrating purchasing a new home. So, our cake is house themed. The examples Daisy Cakes sent were beautiful. I am excited to see what they create! We are getting a 6 inch cake. I will definitely share photos after we have it. I went back and looked at your Haunted Mansion cake and it was amazing!

Congrats! Can’t wait to see pictures of your cake!

Moana 6 inch cake. Half strawberry half vanilla with strawberry fruit filling. DD6 loved the theme. We lit candles separately (on strawberries) and took photos at Boma (too full to eat it) but cut it in our room. DD wanted strawberry flavor and it tastes very artificial and for some reason salty (like salted caramel level). Beautiful cake and survived being transported back to the room. Although it was a bigger box, it did fit in the art of animation fridge with trays and can dividers removed (tight fit). $180 (no fondant outside).

I just ordered a cake from the Grand Floridian bakery for mid-December, so I figured I'd leave some updated information here. I ordered it via email (the one in the first post) and they were responsive, getting back to me within 24 hours with additional information. I did all of the ordering via email, and they said that they only required the order to be made 72 hours before you need the cake. It will be delivered to us for our ADR at Grand Floridian Cafe.

For flavors I was offered: Vanilla, Chocolate, Marble, Lemon (scented with simple syrup), and Almond (scented with simple syrup)
For cake fillings I was offered: Vanilla Buttercream; Milk, Dark, or White Chocolate Mousse; Cookies & Cream Mousse; Strawberry or Raspberry Mousse; Lemon Cream; Custard with Fresh Strawberries--additional charge depending on cake size. [I had originally requested amaretto crunch but this didn't seem to be an option and I didn't push it by asking again to special order it]

I received a quote of $200 for a gender-neutral birthday cake with light blue frosting, topped with the 3” white chocolate castle, and buttercream floral/garland details inspired by Magic Kingdom’s Main Street during Christmas time. This cake will celebrate both my birthday and my brother-in-law’s, and it’s especially meaningful since this will be their family’s first trip to Disney.

Hopefully it turns out well! I'll try to post a photo when I get back from our trip :cake:
