The top is probably about that width the bottom layer a little wider. If you look at the cut versions it's also mostly frosting from the way they layer it. Which is ideal for some people (like me) but others may prefer more cake.

It depends on where you are ordering. There is an email for cakes that you plan to have served at Magic Kingdom restaurants and you can do the entire process by email. But for others you will need to at least call to place the order even if you can communicate with the bakery by email (like with the Contemporary). I believe these emails are on the first page of this thread.

I was going to have it sent to our room (we're staying at Coronado Springs), but now I'm wondering about having one sent to Magic Kingdom. It's definitely given me something to think about, thank you

I will say there is something special about having it at the restaurants. Being that most people have no idea you can order a custom cake, guests around us are usually all oohing and ahhing over the cake. Many times the CMs are as well. It always makes us feel pretty special.

I've just received an email back from the magic kingdom email account who have said in the next few months will no longer be delivering cakes to restaurants unless they are dinner reservations so I might just have to book an evening meal for the sake of it. A little disappointed as I was going to have it while we were at be our guest for lunch reservations but it's one of those things I guess. Thank you everyone for your help.

We were wanting to order a cake to be delivered to a private Wishes cruise. However the quote I got was around $100 and we can't do that. It will be my stepdads 70th birthday and my little girls 4th birthday (they share a birthday). My mom wants to make it extra special. Is Publix the closets/best place to get a cheaper cake? Do they still do the fancy cupcakes at the candy shop? Maybe we could pick us a few of those.

Very few places have emails you can use, other than individual cast member email addresses, which you can only get by calling. Numbers are in Post #2.

I found a picture of my wedding cake - can they replicate it somehow onto a mini cake?

It depends on whether the location where you want the cake is serviced by a Deluxe resort party team. Info is in Post #2.

I'm assuming it'll automatically show up to our table for dessert - will our server say something, or is there a way to completely keep it a surprise from my husband until dessert time?

That's the way it's supposed to work, but often they either forget your cake OR they stamp your ticket with a huge CAKE label right in front of you when you check in. So you may need to run interference.

They will put the cake in its original box for you when you leave.

You can always get the pre-made $23 Celebration Cake delivered to the cruise. It's 6 inches and serves at about 6 people. Or tell them the budget you have to work with and see what they can do for that. A $100 cake will have fancy fondant and decorations. A buttercream cake will be much cheaper.

We may have 10 people if my grandparents come. I sent a picture and asked for buttercream and the price was $100, with fondant was $106. I showed her the Mickey head cake and she liked that but I'm still looking for options.

I don't know if things have changed, but when I booked our fireworks cruise I was told that we were NOT allowed to bring any outside food (nothing packaged, no cupcakes, no cake). There was the option to order from one of the resorts but definitely NO outside food. Please check before you buy from Publix and you might not be able to bring it.

I agree. Both guests and CMs were oohing and ahhing over my wife's cake at Sanaa. I heard several of the CMs say they had never seen a cake like that before.

Also, to a later post, they give you the original box to transport it. Our waitress was great in that she made sure the box was taped up properly and she double bagged it in two giant Disney bags (it was heavy!).

I looked into this, and it appears @tinkerbell1991 was given some incorrect info by a misinformed CM. There is no policy change. It could be the CM was confused by Be Our Guest, which has only ever allowed cake delivery at dinner because that's the only time the restaurant has table service.

You are right. I forgot about that. I guess is a Disney cake or no cake at all. I may have thought of a way to make it cheaper. I could bring a topper instead of having them do Ariel. I won't get to eat any of it anyway as its going to be blue and I'm allergic to blue food coloring.

Thank you! I was able to call and get right through! I spoke to George, who was very sweet and so helpful in getting me exactly what I was looking for! I am excited to see what comes to our table on our anniversary night!

Has anyone gotten a cake delivered to Garden Grill? that is where we will be having dinner for DS's 3rd birthday! I don't need anything super fancy, but would definitely want a cake to celebrate his day!

A cake delivery to Garden Grill in August 2014 led me to this thread. The boy at the table next to us received a custom cake, our server provided cake ordering info that night, and our youngest son has been obsessing over this ever since. We've been back to WDW four times since that visit, and ordered cakes for three of the four visits. Next cake will be for our youngest's birthday in January, but we convinced him he would rather have dinner at Via instead of Garden Grill and that we should pick up his cake from the Boardwalk Bakery.

I am looking for a mini cake for a Mom and Daughter trip, we are not staying on property and are trying to decide where to make an adr for a special meal. Can you help me with prices? Which restaurants they will deliver to? Flavors and decorations? Sorry I am so clueless!
