Yeah, it might be better to do it at Chef Mickey's. You could always take it with you on the cruise, but the cruise itself will be so exciting, you might be too distracted to want to cut and eat the cake.

Thanks, I think I'll call tomorrow!

We're celebrating our 10th anniversary in Dec. We have a split stay with the first few nights in a studio at Kidani Village and then we move over to CSR.. I've ordered the specialty cakes before (worked with Chef Brian and he was great!) and had them delivered to the room and then I've also ordered and picked up at Boardwalk Bakery, so I know those are great cakes.

Each time I've done this, we've had either family or friends to share the cakes with us. It'll just be the two of us in Dec. I've thought about just ordering a mini cake and having it delivered to our room at CSR since we're there for most of the trip, but then I wondered if we could order zebra domes to be delivered to our room at AKL. Does anyone know? If I do go with the zebra domes (if they're available) how do I order these? Do I do it like you would when ordering a cake? TIA!

Yes, Zebra Domes you just order thru AKL private dining like a cake. But CSR has a different food and beverage vendor that only offers four standard cake options- none of them minis. The best you could do is buy a cake square in the takeaway snack bar.

Here's my cake from August 2013 (I'm way late in posting!) This was a 6 inch, chocolate cake with fresh strawberry filling and vanilla buttercream, $115. It was delicious and exactly what I wanted! My theme was 1950's Mickey and Minnie. I gave the bakers several photos of Mickey & Minnie- 50's style to work off of.

My DD is in the Disney College Program. She just told me today that she is having dinner at the Hoop-De-Do Review to celebrate her birthday. If I wanted to send a mini cake, is that possible? Thoughts, ideas on what I could surprise her with at dinner? Thanks.

Hi we will be staying at Pop in October. This will be a suprise trip and I was thinking of having a cake sent to the room the first night. What bakery does Pop work with and how much usually is it to ship to pop? Thanks!

The thing about the surprise is, sometimes the servers forget/don't know about special-order items like cakes and they need to be notified/reminded. So if no one in your daughter's party knows there's a cake, it might not be delivered.

Pop's cakes come from BoardWalk Bakery and there is no delivery charge. But you must place the order thru Pop.

So I've read through over half of these pages in the last few hours. My eyes need a break, so I'm just going to ask..
I'm wanting the get a mini cake delivered to Akerhaus in Epcot, preferably a little different than the standard white with mickey heads. Is that possible? I don't remember seeing anything about Akerhaus.

If you go to this link, this seems to give you just pictures of various cakes. http://www.disboards.com/threads/the-official-cake-thread-photo-gallery-cake-info.2118274/page-3

I've tried to read through most of this thread and I apologized if I missed this somewhere:

Can any image be screen printed for a cake or do they have specific ones that they use? I'd like to use a screened image of Jedi Mickey and Darth Donald that I found and ask for little light sabers around the outside of the cake but I don't know if this is possible.

Tax is 6.5% everywhere on property but the All-Star Resorts, which are located in a different county that has 7% tax. There is no delivery fee.

I always check in about 3 days beforehand just to make sure. That way you're close enough that your cake is at the top of their to do list and far enough that they can still start a new order if they've lost yours.

Hi - can you guide me to the right post (if it still exists). There used to be a post that listed all the different cakes/slippers you can order (with pictures). The top post says there's an index in one of the earlier threads but I can't find it. =(

Has anyone ever worked with Theresa? I'm about 75% sure she understood my vision, but still that 25% is making me nervous.

Akershus is listed under Epcot in the second post. Because the Epcot pastry team makes cakes for this location, you should be able to get a mini cake there. Once you start working with the contact at that phone number, you can send them an inspiration photo to explain what you want.

They seem to have a limited number of approved screen prints, and they don't have anyplace where you can go to see them, unfortunately. Once you start working with the pastry team you could try sending them your image to see if they have it or something similar in on their approved list.

This post shows only the standard cakes available at the Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately, there has never been a comprehensive list for all of Walt Disney World, which is why this thread exists. :thumbsup2 The index mentioned in the first post is that of a thread of cake photos created several years ago. One of the moderators took the time to go through and create an index of every image in the thread before it was closed.

I vaguely remembered a post that listed things like chocolate slipper with a link, chocolate mickey head with a link, etc.? I'll look through links you provided, thank you! =)

How far in advance do you start getting quotes for your cakes? I know they need 48 hours notice, but I'm going at the end of September, and was wondering if its too early to start asking them about cakes, or should I wait til closer to the date? Thanks.

Do you know if you can have a in the room when you arrive?

Also, is there a phone number to order for Pop?

Dd and I are going on a short trip in Aug to celebrate her 16th birthday and I wanted to do a cake, but we have free dining so I'm not sure a cake after a meal would make sense. We are arriving later (flight lands at 6) so having a cake on our arrival day would be better.
