 What are 'drug dogs'??

What a shame that you will not be in the teaching profession...we must 'stick together'.....

I used to teach in a really bad school(gangs and drug dogs every week)-had my car stolen, was threatened by students, so I resigned. Because I resigned midterm(with notice) I was blackballed at better districts. So now I can only sub basically...so I think in a year or 2, I will be looking for a different career.
But I have additional money coming in through real estate investments I have ...so I'm ok. :goodvibes All the more time for me to oogle the big O.
Sheesh! That sounds like the middle school I had to suffer through for two years. I was bussed all the way to the other side of town to the "bad" school. I was threatened almost on a daily basis, there were always lots of fights and riots especially on the last day of school. Drug Dogs are drug sniffing dogs, Kim. I encountered them several times while I was there.

I'm almost giddy with the thought of X-Men and then POTC2 coming out soon. Doesn't it seem like a lot of their movies come out right around the same time? POTC and X2 in 2003 and then Troy and Van Helsing in 2004.

Drug dogs are cute puppies..... :rotfl: NOT- usually they are German Shepherds(but can be other breeds) and as Jules said, they are in for drug sniffing.

The funny thing is this stuff happened 2 years ago...and the lovely "princesses" that got caught (3 girls14-15yo) were to pay restitution. . :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: ...still waiting on it. Good thing I don't pay my bills that way...oh yeah they have jobs-they are drug dealers, so you know they have the money.

Kim are you a teacher? Or are you semi-workforce, like I consider myself? I have an executive DH so he's responsible for 75-80% of our family's income. I have the kids/house to handle, because he works 12 hours a day at work and 3-4 hours at home. He does travel a bit too (going to Utah this WE to do flyfishing with the CIO). So I might go see DaVinci Code with a friend. I will think about you both enjoying Xmen. Let me know when you see it, please tell me if I can bring my boys (8yo's) to see it. They really want to see POTC2 too. Today I got the question "Mom is POTC2 rated PG-13"...yes, I think so, you know I might have to see it first to make sure there isn't anything too violent or scary  (yeah, they'll believe that pirate: )

Jules-sorry to hear you had to go to a school like that-I hope it wasn't too traumatic for you. The other school I taught at (I was split between 2 HS in the same district) had a steady 4 person (real) police force stationed at the HS at all times (plus the HS security force) and if there was word of pending gang troubles, they would call in another 10 officers.... Actually this HS was OK. If you avoided gangs-which was possible-you could usually get through the day ok. Drug "Puppies" were only there once a month. ;) This HS was 1200 students and had 4 Houses within the HS setting.

Jules is your work going any better this
week? :grouphug: Hope so!

That school was horrible but I got through it unscathed and lived to tell the tale. ;)

Actually work is getting weirder. I don't know what the heck is going on. Thanks for thinking about me though. :)

And to cheer everyone up... including myself:
