Probably a bad call on Mike's part to 1) believe Paul's story and 2) leave him alive. Yes, he is out in the middle of nowhere, but I bet he'll come back! And I am not 100% certain that the story he told was true. Who's to say that HE didn't do the stabbing? If I was in a spot like that (about to be murdered unless I could come up with a good story) and I could blame a crime on a dead person I probably would! Of course he is going to say he watched in horror as Mary Alice stabbed Deidra, but is that what REALLY happened? He didn't know the part about the baby would interest Mike, he just wanted to make it look like he wasn't such a bad guy.

I *think* I believe Paul's story. He thought Mike was going to kill him because of Mrs. Huber (sp?). When Mike threw down the picture of him and Deidra, Paul seemed shocked. Maybe he made up the story quickly but I just think he was telling the truth. But, what the heck do I know? lol

I missed the whole calendar thing somehow!

Anyway, we don't know anything about Deidra and Kendra's mother. It seems to just be the dad. If their mother left when they were very small then Mike wouldn't know her because I don't think he knew Deidra as a child. Depending on the circumstances even Deidra might not have known her, so when she saw Felicia at the rehab clinic she didn't think anything of it. Hmm. That would make Zach Mrs. Huber's great nephew. Felicia and her sister seemed to have a VERY odd relationship. Maybe it's not too much of a stretch to have some sort of tie between Felicia and Zach. Maybe Mary Alice and Paul found and bought that house because of things Felicia told them, and she was sort of guiding them to where Mrs. Huber could watch them. Mrs. Huber decided to make a profit from it and Paul killed her. You just never know!!

Ok, I'm totally lost. Could someone pm me the details on this show. I just started watching the show about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I'm lost on Bree & Rex? Why was he sick? Also what is up with Gabe and her husband. I know the husband tampered with her birth control pills and now she's pregnant? What kind of trouble is he in? I know he kept saying he has to go to jail?

Oh and what is the story behind the lady being held hostage in her home by the kid?

Instead of PMing, I'll try to recap here, so in case I forget something or mess it up someone can fill in the gaps.

--Bree & Rex - he had a mile heart attack while cheating on Bree with another woman - he was into S & M. She was livid & eventually started dating the pharmacist - all while her & Rex were still living together. Finally told the pharmacist she wasn't interested but pharmacist (George) couldn't get over it. Started tampering with Rex's medication, which caused him to have another heart attack & now die.

--Carlos is going to jail because of something to do with his business dealings & now also because of beating up 2 gay guys. They think he is a "gay basher".

--Susan is being held hostage right now because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is Mike's home & Zach seems to be waiting for Mike to come home so he can shoot him. Susan just happened upon the scene.

I didn't hear Deidra say she SOLD the baby. I thought she said STOLE? Maybe I wasn't watching all that carefully when she said it.

Did you see the begining of the show - this is when the whole calender thing and the explanation of the way she sold her baby -

Paul's story was backed up by MA in her narration - so I am pretty sure it was true - I think Paul and Mike have a lot in common - they both killed to protect the women they love and I think that it is an understanding between them and they will not bother each other - I could be wrong but I think Paul is really a decent guy who just tried to protect his wife and when he realized that Mike knew deidra he pretty much understood whey he was going to kill him

The secret scene this morning on GMA was when Gaby,Lynette and Susan came up to the hospital to see Bree. Susan announced that Mike had Mrs Hubers diary and that she had read it and thought she knew what had caused Mary Alice to kill herself. The extra scene just expanded the conversation the 4 women had about the diary. The 3 women all told Susan that she needed to take the diary to the police. Susan replied that Mike agreed, and that they were going to turn it in to them.

Rex was on GMA this morning. Charlie Gibson asked him if he knew the storyline was going to kill him off. He said he got a phone call and was called in to the set where he was told he would have a heart attack and die. He said he was originally dissapointed, but the show was called Desperate HouseWIVES and that the show had to focus on the wives. He also stated that Mark Cherry does most if not all the writing for the show. That the character of Bree was based on Mark Cherry's mother. And about a month or 2 ago, he (Steven Culp the actor that played Rex) asked him how his father died. Cherry said he died of heart disease, so Culp knew he was going to bite the dust soon!
Bree will mourn like Mark Cherrys mother did. Not long.

It's pretty interesting that the character Bree is based on someone's real life story.

It's Rex that won't be back - Rex was Bree's husband, the one that had the heart attack & died.

Paul is Zach's father, Mary Alice's husband. I'm pretty sure he is coming back.

I'm glad they're starting the season over.....called my buddy at work and told her to start watchin'.....she catches them here and there...so, I told her she HAS to watch the summer now to catch up (I usually fill her in!) It will also be nice for those who did see every episode to go back and watch...may catch a few things we missed first time around! BTW, I read we will meet Bree's MIL and see more of Rex in flashbacks. Can't wait!

Zach is just such a mess I don't know if anybody can turn him around. I almost wonder if Felicia is related to him somehow. Could she be Deidra's mother?

Interesting theory. I'm curious too about the connection between them. She's just too interested in him for there not to be one. Granted, she is an odd one...

I don't think that Zach is Mike's son because that's too easy. But I do think that HE'LL think he's Zach's father - at least for most of next season or more.

Just curious about everyone's opinion - is Gabby's baby Carlos' or John's?

I can't wait for the show to start up again next season!

I don't know if this has been brought up before, but...

I just watched the first episode again, and this sort of threw me. Does Edie have a son? When Susan runs into Mrs Huber in the store, Mrs Huber said that she was looking for something to settle her stomach, and that Edie's son was coming to spend the night because Edie had a date and probably inteneded to entertain "until the wee hours"...that leads Susan to believe the date is Mike DelFino (and she ends up burning down the house). Do they ever mention Edie's son again??

Also...why did Paul bother digging up the body under the pool? Why not just leave it there? There was water in the pool the day of the funeral, and a week later, it's empty and he's hacking through cement to get to the box. And wasn't it Zack who had the pool party at his house later in the season?

Yes, Huber did say Edie had a son...I caught that, but I don't think there's been any mention of him since . We're not sure why Paul dug the pool/trunk up....my thoughts were to leave it there too....BUT, if it WAS discovered there, it would definatley incriminate him--whereas, dumping it, he thought it was not traceable. And yes, Zack did have a pool party later on.
Something I caught last night (not really a big deal), they introduced Susan Mayer--I always thought it was Myer...like I said, not big deal!! Oh, and I also read that they have something big planned for Andrew.....so, guess he's still going to do something big to Bree.....still wish he'd get busted for Mama Solice's murder.......
