Yayyyy! I kept looking for a Dec 2023 thread and almost started one. We're renting DVC points for Boulder Ridge, 12/3-12/10. CAN'T WAIT. Countdown app says.....311 days!!!
Y'all, this trip is MY dream (I told the family they could come along on my trip lol)--I finally get to see WDW decorated for Christmas.

Dec 5-15 at OKW... Grand Villa near the Hospitality House. Me, my kids, and their SO's. We haven't been since late 2019 so a lot of new things to see and do, as well as revisit the favorites.

Yes, right now I have 5 nights in an OKW 1 BR and will probably keep at least 4-5 nights there. I'm hoping for a studio for 2-3 nights at either AKV, BRV, CCV, or Poly. High hopes I know but I'd also be totally fine with an SSR studio. I really can't do OKW studios because I suffer from reflux and would prefer some kind of sofa/chair for sleeping. I also want to keep the points down because the point totals are off the charts that week and I don't want to end up borrowing too many.

We went in December 2021 and it was perfect. A little warm for my taste our first day, but otherwise it was great.

This year will be our 5th December trip (1st time during Christmas week) and I would have to say December 2013 was probably the worst. It rained every single day during the 8 days we were there. I don't mean drizzle either. I mean very humid and downpours. CMs kept telling me it is rare this time of year. I'm like oh, great! The thing that really irked is the day we were leaving it was low humidity and the sun came out bright and clear...grrr!

The other 3 trips were pretty good weather-wise and ran the gamut from warm to pretty chilly for Florida. Since I'm from the Northeast I was surprised that 50 degrees could be so chilly. The days were usually in the 70s-low 80s, comfortable with low humidity, bright and clear but the nights...I really didn't mind it for the most part because it was the holiday season and it really felt like Christmas. On one trip, DH ended up buying a ski cap. I found out you never know what you're gonna get until it's time to go.

Hopefully MVMCP dates will be released by April. The parties are really fun but might skip this year. We already have hoppers plus EEH for MK, EP and likely HS too (2022 had HS on Thurs Dec 15/22, so maybe Dec 14/21 this year). The daytime Christmas parade (12 & 3pm) started Thurs Dec 22 last year, and we can try a dinner with party fireworks view.
