I have never flown Southwest, are they always price protected? I waited to book and of course the JetBlue flights I initially wanted are way up currently. Was considering SouthWest but have no experience with them.

Yep, if it's cash they'll give you credit towards a future flight. If it's points they'll refund some points

Good to know, too bad I just checked their flights for my dates and the only outbound is 12:45pm so guess I will keep waiting for Jetblue to drop prices

Our times worked absolutely perfectly. 6:15am departure, 9:40am arrival. Last time we went, departure wasn't until 7:50 or so, so we're going to have more time on arrival day than previously assumed.

One way for me from Phoenix was $307 on the date I wanted, very disappointed, especially since American has a flight at the same time for $243. HS is out plan for arrival as well. We're hoping we can get the rides done by 4ish and head to Disney Springs for dinner (or we may just eat at Whispering Canyon Cafe at our hotel).

The price protect works for everything. The only catch is that you'll receive a voucher that is valid for one year rather than a refund to your credit card. If you use points it will just deposit points back.

You know your dates are getting closer when SWA opens your booking window! Sounds like a lot of people were up doing the same thing I was doing this morning. Flights are booked. It was a little more than I was hoping for but the convenience of DME and never touching your luggage from the time you arrive at the airport until the time you grab it to head back home is a huge perk, IMO!

What are the main reasons you go? We're going to be at the parks from the 19th to 23rd, so we could see the parades/shows on the 23rd, but the crowds also look crazy that day.

We do it mainly for the crowds, it's sooo much better for rides and the different characters. We spend ZERO time watching parades at the parks during the regular time and we usually only travel during MNSSHP and MVMCP time so that is when we get our chance to see those without having a reserve a space obscenely early as well! LOL! I love how the park is still crowded but it seems empty during part nights, even on sold out parties!!

We are in WdW Thanksgiving day...then a 3 night cruise in the Disney Dream... Then back to Disney for 2 nights. We are also in WDW from Dec. 27 through January 1. Since we can see the special fireworks and parade over the Christmas week should I bother to buy tickets for the Nov Christmas party? It would be less crowded... But will also cost a pretty penny. We have gone before and had a great time! But I hate to spend the money if we can see all those special events for free. What do you think?

We are a family of 5 Disney Adults and we find it worth the party every single time, the crowds are the #1 reason for it and then all the other fun party things. We just added on a second party today, that is how much we think it's worth it! LOL

Do you know if these are for sure dates, or are they based on a best guess from last year.? Thx

I find those to always be unreliable, it's just a guess and then it changes often.

We are under 20 days until we can book our dining!! I am so excited!! I really want the monorail dine around SOOO bad and a handful of other things!! I 100% miss the days of when the concierge of the Club Level rooms used to do it all for you! LOL

I've been to both MNSSHP and MVMCP, though many years ago when there was less people and tickets were only $60 or $70. I just can't stomach paying as much as they are charging now and it's only 2 of us! More parties each year higher prices, and less MK park time for those that don't want to attend with larger crowds.

We will be doing a long weekend trip most likely December 7-10. That leaves us a Saturday to go to MK, unless we want to only spend the morning there. I'm seriously thinking we may just skip MK. Just spend 2 days at DAK and one in Epcot. This will be our last trip until the 50th, so I was hoping for one more day at MK.

Ahhh the good old days!! I remember when the tickets were so cheap!! We used to go to every single party available during our 2 week stays and always had so much fun!! Now we're only doing 2 parties because the jump seems to get bigger and bigger, no more small increases! LOL

We are staying at CBR from Dec 9-16.

Heeey!!! We are also staying at CBR 9 Dec - 16 Dec!!! We'll be the family with 5 kids...lol

Newbie here!!

Our family will be at CSR from December 10-17th. It will be me, DH, and DS (7). Then my parents, brother and his 2 kids and wife and other brother and his family. All total there will be 12-14 of us ( variance of 2 as 2 are foster kids and not 100% they will still be here in December).

We have upgraded to the standard dining plan. Really hoping for a meal at Ohana, BOG and 1900 Park Faire..... but with there being so many of us I know reservations won't be easy. And I'm the lucky one in charge of planning

some of us (including me) have bought tickets to MVMCP on Tuesday the 12th!

Half of us are coming for Midwest (Nebraska) and half are on the West Coast! Excited to spend time with my parents I only get to see twice a year!

We just bought our tickets today...We're also going to MVMCP on the 12th.
