*~~Official December 2016 Thread~~*

Does anyone want to share plans? These are our plans so far. I've only changed them a dozen times or so. :yo-yo:

Arrival Day 12/10
-plane lands at 9:25am
- ME to POP. Maybe grab a small bite at food court.
- head to Hollywood Studios
- 3:10 ADR for Mama Melrose fantasmic package

12/11 MK Day
-8 am PPO ADR at BOG
- checkout the castle before the park opens & hit up a popular attraction most likely 7d but I haven't gotten that far with planning
-5:50 ADR at CRT

12/12 Epcot Day
- I have a 730am for Cape May that I am going to cancel. Just decided this tonight.
- will rope drop Epcot. Haven't decided if we will go straight to Soarin, test track or joy/sadness. We hope to get frozen fp.
- 6:25 ADR at Akershus
- watch illuminations

12/13 MVMCP
-sleep in which isn't usually very late with my kids.
- go to Disney Springs around 10 or 11
-2:30 ADR at Chef Mickey (we just decided on this tonight so I have to find one. I do have an ADR at Kona as a backup)
- head into MK at 4 for the party

12/14 Hollywood studios
- want to rope drop to sign up for Jedi training but not sure this will work out the day after a party night
- 12:10 ADR at Sci-Fi
-Star Wars Fireworks we aren't doing the dessert party. Unless I change my mind. AGAIN.

12/15 MK
- sleep in
-950 ADR at Ohana
- head to MK after breakfast
- I have a Whispering Canyon ADR at 6 that I will most likely cancel. I'm going to try to find a Beaches & Cream reservation for 7ish.

12/16 Epcot
- get there for RD
- snacking around the world for lunch
- I have a beaches & cream ADR for 2pm that I'm canceling.
-6:45pm ADR at Via Napoli. Getting the big pizza. Paying out of pocket for this.
- call it a night

12/17 AK
- EMH @ 8
- 10:25am ADR at Tusker House. Hoping to get a ROL package if they have them.

12/18 departure day
- flight leaves at 9am. Looking to push it back a couple of hours if I can find a flight that works.

Feel free to critique my plans. I'm unsure of the HS day. My DS really wants to do Jedi training & I just don't think it would work on that day. We have park hoppers that I'm hoping to get some use out of at night. im trying to be flexible with night plans because I'm not sure what will work with my kids as far as early nights if we RD that day or mid-day breaks. We'll figure it out.

I can't seem to find it in the thread, though I am thinking it's in here already somewhere. Do we know officially where the Pop Warner kids are staying this year? i'm trying to find out if Coronado Springs is on their package list again like it was last year.

Looks like fun!

12/11 day is a MVMCP- After CRT ADR are you staying for the party also? if not is this a early night or are you going to another park?

We aren't doing MVMCP that night. I was thinking it would be an early night for us. If the kids are up for it then maybe we'd hop over to another park. Or check out the chip n dale campfire sing along. I'm all over the place!

Early night, check out your resort-Then maybe keep Cape may breakfast-nice buffet, then walk over to your Epcot day.

After CRT-take monorail to Grand Flouridian and see the gingerbread house and Christmas tree also.

Ooooh I like that idea. I originally planned to do 1900 on morning of party day so we could see gingerbread houses & decorations. Now that we aren't doing that, Your plan sounds perfect.

The original plan after Cape May was to walk the international gateway to Epcot. But now that we're doing Tusker House & Chef Mickey (if I can get an ADR) I thought it would be character overload. Plus I need to cancel an ADR or pay out of pocket for 2. We're definitely paying for Via Napoli since we really just want to get pizza & maybe an app.

I was just messing around on the Disney website at resorts for the time we are going and a standard room at Caribbean Beach popped up for just over $300 more, so decided to upgrade! Wasn't really keen on a value, but since it was a surprise trip so soon after our family trip I had to take what I could find, so this is so exciting! 95 days until we are there!

That's awesome!

Just a little bit of info about us. We are 3 adults no kids and 2 people in the group have food allergies so it is easier to eat at mostly TS for all meals. Here are our plans:

Arrival Day 12/2
- Plane lands early morning.
- Pick up rental car at airport and drive to YC.
- Not sure if we will go swimming in SAB for a little bit or just head right to Epcot with a CS lunch somewhere in the mix.
- 4:30 pm CP dinner package at Chefs and the 8:15 pm show.

12/3 Sea World
- 7:30 am ADR Captain's Grille.

12/4 Epcot
- 7:30 am ADR Trattoria.
- CS lunch.
- 4:30 pm ADR Le Cellier.

12/5 MK
- 7:30 am ADR WCC.
- 11:30 am ADR LTT.
- 4:30 pm ADR Tony's.

12/6 Epcot and Disney Sorings
- Walk up Garden Grove breakfast either 7 am or 7:30 am.
- 11:30 am ADR Tutto.
- 4:30 pm TRex reservation made through them directly.

12/7 Gatorland
- 8 am ADR Cape May.
- 4:00 pm HDDR ADR.
- might go to DHS for either SW fireworks or Fantasmic.

12/8 MK and MVMCP
- 8 am ADR Crystal Palace.
- CS lunch.
- 4:30 pm ADR BOG.

12/9 AK
- 8 am ADR TH
- 11:30 pm ADR Rainforest Cafe.
- 4:30 pm ADR Boma

This might change depending on what happens with ROL.

12/10 DHS
- 7:30 am ADR Captain's Grille.
- 11:30 am ADR Sci Fi.
- 4:30 pm ADR 50's PTC.
- will either do SW fireworks or Fantasmic depending on what we were able to do on 12/7.

We have a very early flight home on 12/11.

@CynBeth all of your ADRs sound great. An adult trip sounds so relaxing to me.

I read on the ROL thread that it might be up & running by the end of October. Of course it's not confirmed by Disney & just a rumor at this point. I'm hoping they do ROL package that I can change my TH to.

Thanks! We find that even though we are constantly on the go from early morning until the parks close the time we are at the TS for lunch and dinner are like taking a break. We have never been to Cape May, Trattoria, or Garden Grove for breakfast. I saw HDDR when I was a kid so it will feel like a first time. It has been a while since we have done Sci Fi and TRex. The other restaurants we try to do every trip. Tutto was a first for us last time and we loved it so now we have to do it every trip. Disney is so great about food allergies. We were always concerned about the dinner shows but decided to try SOA last trip and they did a great job accommodating as well. I had heard HDDR is just as good with that so we figured to try it this time.

So, with the start of Halloween at WDW and the addition of the 1900 Park Fare brunch, I'm starting to feel like our Dec 10 trip is very close. Should I expect more additions and changes to keep coming at us every week now? Like, changes in park hours, updates to park schedules (mainly, evening entertainment), other things? I feel like I still have so much to plan and tweak as FP date approaches and Disney changes things, pulling out the rug from some of my plans (namely PPO ADRs).
Does it get a bit crazy with "last minute" changes from Disney for December?

Just booked a few minutes ago and I'm very excited!!!!!
Dec. 29 - Jan. 5 at Pop
We're so excited to be going to the MK on the 30th and Epcot for the 31st! :woohoo:
I know it will be crowded, but I don't care!!!!!

Hey guys...I haven't even turned on the computer in two days, I've been down with a wicked stomach bug that I wouldn't wish on anyone :faint:
I am rarely ever sick, and I HATE being unable to do my usual things...laying around not able to move makes me a very cranky patient. For the worst part of it Friday I was home alone so no one had to deal with me. No one needed to be around any of that anyway!

So...I'm behind on reading and updating since the last time. I'll try to get caught up tomorrow.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Oh no! That's the worst. I hope you're feeling a bit more human today! I dread this time of year because the viruses start to rear their ugly heads with the start of school. :(

Oh I hope not but it probably does. So many things are left up in the air like like if Star Wars fireworks will continue, if ROL is going to start, will there be a night parade, etc. I'm trying not to plan too much for night so I can be flexible.
