Our planned dates are dec 3 to dec 9 – depending on flights they could change by a day or so but we are defiantly going to be in the parks early dec!
No hotel plans yet – I’d like to see if I can get a AP rate at one of the DL hotels but yet its too far away for me to book.

Can’t wait to spend part of my holidays in DL!

Dec 6th - 10th. Split stay, staying at good neighbor then on the 8th at VGC

I hear that is a great time to visit! It's before school lets out, and after the Thanksgiving holiday. With any luck, you should have reasonable crowds. Have fun!

Look at all you people already committed to December dates! I'm so jealous! We're thinking December again, but need to wait for school to start in the fall to be sure we don't miss anything critical.

I'm weird - I knew our dates before we ever finished the last trip! It's a sickness really. I am always planning one or two trips far in advance.

Not weird at all. I'd have plans (and would have jumped on that Orbitz/Ebates deal!) if I had a better idea of my daughter's school/activity schedule. Cant' wait to fill in some of those blanks!

We really love PPH too, but have never stayed at DLH. I think you'll be fine either way. I'll put you down for DLH - just let me know if you need that updated. Have a great trip!

Ok, plans have changed just a little but reservations are made. We will be staying ay DLH Dec 1-5. I have been overly planning for a couple of months and I am over joyed to have my hotel reservations done. This will truly be our best trip yet.

My brothers and their family and my dh and ds have six rooms booked at the Fairfield Inn December 5-9 for my brother's 50th birthday and our family reunion. I am excited about doing Disney with my 3 generation family and am relieved (to put it mildly) I finally found a reasonably priced hotel in walking distance that works for everyone's different needs. I just love DLR at Christmastime!

I am excited about doing Disney with my 3 generation family and am relieved (to put it mildly) I finally found a reasonably priced hotel in walking distance that works for everyone's different needs. WOW! I love Disney and love my family, but I don't know if I would be brave enough to take that much family to my happy place! Seriously though, it sounds like a great trip!

DH, DS6 & I will be there 12/20 through 12/24! We're staying at the Del Sol. It'll be our first time going so late in December, but since DS will be in 1st grade, we wanted to wait until his school break.

How fun! I think they do some special "good night" at closing on Christmas eve. Hopefully someone will chime in to verify if that's right or not. Have a great trip!

We're trying to keep it a budget trip this time around so we're staying at the Maingate Motel 6 and driving down from Oregon, no planes this time. We stayed there in 2012 and I remember thinking it was very nice for an economy hotel. Can't wait, so excited! I have NEVER seen either Disney park for Christmas so I really can't begin to tell you how excited I am I'll be seeing it all lit up and full of Christmas magic!

I saw your post come in here, to Escape2Disney's December Check-In thread, and had to comment.

May I just say, you are in for a real treat! I love reading posts from people who are in the process of planning for their first Disneyland Resort holiday trips and are already filled with sheer excitement about it. Since I feel that last year's holiday season was one of the best so far in terms of overall holiday décor, activities and general Resort-wide immersion, I can tell you that if this year is anything like last year, you certainly do have a lot of Christmas magic ahead of you!
