$220 - $250 on AA actually isn't that bad. The flights I'm waiting to book for our trip in May with tax came out to $247 per ticket and they were nonstop both directions. So with tax it'd come out to $494. HOWEVER, I am a Chase customer and have the rewards debit card. I have enough rewards points on my card right now that I am literally getting one of our tickets for free for our trip in May.
yeah for the free ticket! i have enough AA miles now for a free ticket, but american is so picky about when you can use it- certain dates are blacked out. heck, i've had like 5 upgrades now for a year i still can't use. Heading on AA tomorrow to SEattle for work- more miles! and have been using my disney visa for all my work travel for more points!

We have never been to Disney in November/December before. We just arrived back from our September trip and I have washed and ironed all our clothes. Now I am on to thinking how to pack for our next trip. What is the normal weather like? Would we be ok wearing shorts and a tshirt? Is the weather like Jan? We went in the middle of Jan in 2009 and it was COLD. Any packing tips would be so helpful!!
think LAYERS. we typically start the day in shorts, short sleeves (or capris). we take a midday break about 1 or 2pm. we change into jeans usually for night and maybe long sleeves depending on temps. i carry a hoodie with me everywhere, just in case, i am known to get cold in the restaurants. We did have a few nights where it was downright cold- in the upper 30s- we had on gloves, hats etc.
I got the call from Kouzzina today... they had to cancel my adr because they are closing for refurb in december. Now I'm going to have to play with my adrs some more. And just when I thought I was done with that. I hope I don't have too much trouble trying to get in somewhere else. Anyone else dealing with this?
well that really blows, so sorry you have to change your ADR. strange they didn't block it to begin with.
59 days to go!
This weekend - I have pre-ordered our Photo Pass cd
and..
done something that most of you probably don't need to do..
Exchange some £s for US $s !
When the cashier said "are you going anywhere nice?" .. I said "Yes!! New York and Disney World!"
Hope everyone has had a nice weekend.. another week closer to our vacations!

woo hoo!!! how fun is that!!!
How do you go about pre-ordering the CD? Okay then you get it pre-ordered then what? Do you pick it up at the park when you get there?
Sorry I've never done a photo pass CD this way before so I'm curious.
Thanks
We pre-ordered before and it worked well for us, plus we got a special visa discount that they were offering last year and our CD cost us like $80 total. i don't think there are any discounts like that anymore though, other than the pre-order. you sort through all your pics, add borders etc. and then order your CD online once you have done all that. Ours came fairly quickly and was great. DH is not much on posing for PP pics, so we won't do it this trip. I figure we can always ask the photographer to use our camera if there is one we absolutely really want.
Okay, well I guess I better introduce myself. My name is Brandy and this will be my DD's first trip to the World and also our first ever Mommy & Me trip anywhere.

I am suuuper excited.
We are staying at SSR in a studio (although I keep trying to upgrade to a 1 bedroom, and also keep trying to switch over to WL)
I've heard that the sleigh rides around FW are super cute because they take you past all the decorated RV's and camp sites and they also play Christmas music in the sleigh. DD loves horses, so she is gonna LOVE this. I am so excited!!
I just went and pre ordered the PP CD and the Photo Cover Book. When I saw that I couldn't resist. This is just such a momentous milestone for me and my DD, I almost cried just THINKING of getting my book full of Christmas Disney pics.
The only thing I am very indecisive about (and even started a thread over

) is renting a car. Since I will be alone with my 3 year old, I am afraid of her falling asleep at park closing and having to figure out what to do with her while I fold up the stroller and then lug the both of them onto the bus at the end of the night. Also, missing ADR's at other resorts because we can't get a bus.
welcome- sounds like a great trip! We prefer to rent a car personally. good point on the sleeping kiddo at night and folding up a stroller. however, keep in mind, if you rent a car and park, you typically will have to take the tram back out to the parking lot, especially at MK, so you would have to fold the stroller for the tram too. I think either way, you would have to fold. You can take on the monorail without folding it though, and depending on how crowded some boats are, they will let you just bring it on as is, we did that many times from WL.
So I just signed up for a professional development workshop for December 13 and as I was doing it, I was thinking, "Oh my gosh, by the time I go to this it will be LESS THAN 10 DAYS BEFORE WE LEAVE FOR DISNEY!" And then my second thought was - "Oh my gosh, there'll probably be several feet of snow on the ground by then!" I couldn't just leave it at the happy Disney thought, could I?
lol- love it! i do that too- gosh, by the time thanksgiving rolls around, i will have off that thursday and friday and then just work that next week and boom, disney time is here on 12/4!
This is an unexpected trip for us. For years, I have said that when my Grandma passed away, that Christmas without her would be too hard that first year & I would want to spend it at WDW. Well, you probably guessed. She passed away on 9-30-10. So, I am taking my family to WDW Dec. 17-22. Hubby won't be going, someone has to hold down the fort.

. It is going to be a short and Christmas stuff only kind of trip. So, everyone, hug someone special in your lives and enjoy your Christmas Season at the Happiest Place on Earth!!!
So sorry to hear of your loss. It sounds like a great way to get away and maybe celebrate her life while you are there!
I really need to get on the ball with reading everyone's PTRs!!! I've been skimming through and few and they're great! I'm checking out Poppy's now
me too- i've fallen behind with work. hopping on a plane tomorrow and hopefully will get some read if the plane has wifi!
I'm annoyed..
Airtran AGAIN has changed our flight times (for the 5th time)!
We were suppose to leave out of DFW at 7am. Well now it got changed to 8am. So I had to call the car company and let the know "we don't need a 5am pick up. We need a 6am pick up"
I'm never flying Airtran again after this mess.
wow on 5x, that is crazy. AA has changed ours once, but for the better- we got an earlier departure out of DFW to orlando by about 40 minutes. was 7am, now 6:20am! woo hoo! we are going to do a car service too for the trip out to the airport. parents will pick us up coming back. for some reason, no one in the family wanted to take us at the airport for a 6;20am flight, can't figure out why?

anyhow- what car service do you use?
I'm hoping we make our 2pm ADR at Olivia's Cafe the afternoon we get to Disney. We orginally were suppose to be arriving at 1032am and now we aren't getting there til 1145am. I'm debating on what I should do
it might be really close. if you land at 11:45, figure about 15 minutes to get the bags.....so noon. are you renting a car or using ME? even if renting a car, you gotta figure another 30 minutes to get over there and out the gate etc. at minimum. Without traffic, i can usually make it from MCO to WDW in about 20 minutes. so at the earliest with a rental car and no delays, i think you would be looking at 1pm. but if the flight is a little late or bags take long or you are using ME, then it could really get you close to 2pm or later. Can you back up the ADR at all?
