so glad that we finally have a specific day for booking CP. Of course I wish it was sooner... but at least I got Via Napoli booked! I booked it for my september trip as a test run to see if it's worht cancelling one of our December ressies to make room!

LOL welcome to my world. I go and check adrs atleast once a week. I check to see whats available and then change something atleast once a month. Its insane. But I jsut can't help myself.

My dates have changed!

So excited to add on an extra day - and upgrade to DVC accommodations thanks to tomandrobin from another site! Now planning on 29 December to 4 January... what ADRs shall I do for my new first day?! Can't wait!!!

We will also be there Sept. & Dec. On both trips we are there the 5th-12th. I made reservations at Via Napoli. Can't wait to try it.

Booked BB for Pop Dec. 18-22! First trip with the AP's!

It will be a surprise trip for the kids and I am hoping to surprise them with a gift box a few days before that has a Christmas lanyard and a few pins for the trip!

Ok, I just added an ADR, I have been checking and checkng for Le Cellier and it was always booked, but just now I checked again ang got 12/23 @ 11:35AM!!!!! YAY, I guess I know what I am doing my last day now!!!!

This summer has been crazy hectic for me, but on the bright side, it's flying by, and before ya know December will be here so sorry I haven't posted here in a while (I have been lurking like crazy though), but I've been trying to confirm some potential changes to my trip before having to post things over and over again.... but i'm bubbling over with excitement and I HAVE to share this with you all! Last I told you I was frustrated that in order to add free dining to my WL ressie, I would have to change to a courtyard view bunkbed room. I didn't want that because it is just my husband and myself (we don't have kids) and we don't want extra beds in our room, and we had a woods view booked with hopes of getting a view of MK, which was also cheaper. The potential switch would have only saved me around $300, which just wasn't worth it to me. So I called and changed to CSR king bed for Dec 10-16. I had already booked my flight to arrive Dec 9th, and the fees to change my flight are pretty low, but the price of the flight has gone it so it's just not worth it. So my next option was to book the first night separately. I had already booked all my ADR's planning on having all the nights on the DxDP, so I priced out a single night with that, not pretty, but still a savings compared to my original plan. SO... just for the heck of it I priced out the one night on the Premium plan.... the difference was so minimal that we're going to do it! Cirque, extra dining credits (signature are only 1 credit), parasailing, mini golf, photo session.... so much to do! But I haven't officially booked it. Waiting to pay of some left over hospital bills from husbands emergency surgery back in May. But we should have it booked by the end of this month =) So excited!!

woo hoo- glad to have a date now for the CP packages! and i also booked Via Napoli! Once I can book the CP package, i can finalize my ADRs a bit more. I have some 'backups' booked until i know what I can get for the CP.

Loving all the new pre trip reports. can't wait to read them, but it is slowly draining away time from work! lol- i find myself checking first thing in the am when i need to be working!

under 4 months now! and only about a month until my disneyland trip!

We just got back from a great trip to Myrtle Beach. I loved it even more because about half way thru - as we were spending money for every little thing (beach chairs/umbrella rental $30/day ), my DH decided that maybe Disney isn't so expensive after all.

Hello, I am going to WDW for the holidays and am so excited that I can't seem to get anything else done for looking at Disney sites.
Am new to this forum and have only been to Disney twice and never at the Holiday time and have heard it is terribly crowded, but love the holidays so we are going to try it.
We have 3 grown children who are all married and have children. When our children were small, we didn't think we could afford to take them to Disney, so for Christmas we are taking just our children, 38 yr old DD, 36 yr old DD and 34 yr old DS....they are leaving their spouses & children at home!! My daughters have never been and wanted to go once without their little ones, so I am going to show them what little I know of Disney before they take their families.
We are arriving on the 17th of Dec., and leaving on the 23rd..staying at the French Qtr., Port Orleans. I will be checking for any tips anyone has for a calmer stay and ways to fight the crowds..we are attending the Mickey Christmas party, but that is the only thing so far we have decided on.

I can't wait for December! I am really enjoying reading all your pre trip reports and other trip reports that are at that time of year.
A little question- can you hear the processional if you are nearby or only if you actually make it into the theater? I heard it is an outdoor theater so I thought if we couldn't get in that maybe we could sit somewhere close by and relax while just listening to it. Is that possible?
