YAY! I'm so happy I could cry! I really hope this doesn't change - or at least the narrator for my date. We're planning on going on 12/9 and I was SOOOOO hoping for Jodi Benson. Now I just need to book my CP package...

Yeah, there are some holes towards the beginning and end of the lineup. I'm guessing they are working feverishly to secure more narrators or make sure their prospects are confirmed.

Even when the "official" list comes out each year, they still seem to have at least one TBD thrown in there. I guess if they released it now, they would have too many TBD's. So here we wait. I was hoping the CM would give me dates for the weekend of December 3rd, but I was happy to take what I could get!

December 15 - Crystal Palace at 8:15am! Whoo!

We were thinking of booking CRT, but my bestie really wanted waffles or pancakes

I can't believe I just found this thread. We are booked for Dec 17-23 at Contemporary. It is our first Christmas trip and we are so excited. We booked this as a bounceback in May at POR. I am so excited and have been on these boards everyday for the past two months! We have our ADRs all booked, so hopefully I can leave them alone and just go with the flow.
We are so excited and the countdown is on!

Day 1 - MVMCP - We arrive early and are going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! Dinner at CRT at 6:50

Day 2 - Epcot all day - Princess breakfast 10:35 - May possibly do Candlelight Processional this day instead of 10th since I'm not particularly fond of WHoopi. Just waiting to hear who is there this day... For now San Angel Inn Mexico at 7:15... Hoping to get a candlelight package for Le Celliar.

Day 3 - Disney Studios all Day - 50's Prime TIme at 8:15

Day 4 - Animal Kingdom/Magic Kingdom - Donalds Breakfastosaurus 9:20AM - Narcoosees 7:25PM

Day 5 - Universal for Harry Potter fan DD16 & Dd10 - 1900 Park Fare at 8:25PM

Day 6 - Animal Kingdom - Jiko 8:10PM

Day 7 - Back to Universal - Hopefully Sleigh Ride - Hoop Dee Do 9:30PM

Day 8 - EPCOT - Chef Mickeys 9:20AM Breakfast - Nine Dragons DInner 6PM

Day 9 - No plans yet... Revisit Parks we need to see more!

We are planning our first family trip to WDW, the hubby and kids have never been there and the last time I was it was 1989, and I can barely recall anything.

We just bought into the DVC and will be staying at BLT for 7 nights and Kidani Village for 3 nights. Dec 3-13th

Anyone coming from the west coast we just got a great deal with Alaska Airlines for $274.80 round trip plus luggage fees.

We are so overwhelmed with everything. Where to eat, where to go? Ok I really want to attend the candle light procession and Mickeys Christmas party, are they both worth it what happens is everything open in the park during the time?

What else should we see or do?

Our next trip will be Oct 2011, we are buying a annual pass for this visit.

Most important thing is I need is a place with pepperoni pizza, my oldest has autism and this is his one staple. As for everyone else we need a place that has mickey waffles?

Can we take snacks and water bottles into the parks?

Wow first trip in 21 years for you and you've bought DVC? How exciting!!

IMO ... MVMCP & CLP are definitely worth doing, they're unique experiences to the holiday season in WDW!

MVMCP... most rides are open, but not all.. it's a bit like extra magic hours, but with special holiday shows, parade, fireworks, snow on Main St.. and complimentary cookies & hot chocolate!

Candlelight Processional - very moving & festive, there's hundreds of singers & it'll be an added bonus if the celebrity narrator is someone you are a fan of
I'd recommend getting a dining package for the CLP - you're guaranteed seating and although there is a line, it moves much quicker into the theatre. The DPs should be available end of July, once the narrators are formally announced!

Other holiday things to do... the Osborne Lights at Hollywood Studios, breathtaking! ... see the 'holidays around the world' entertainers in World Showcase, Epcot... and all the decorations in the resort hotels, particularly: Grand Floridian, Yacht & Beach Club, Wilderness Lodge.. all of them really!!

Pepperoni Pizza can be found here (just did a search on WDWINFO!)
.. a lot of people don't like Disney pizza as it's not like New York/Italian pizzas, but I quite like it ... there is a new restaurant opening in the Italy Pavillion this fall called 'Via Napoli' - which is going to make speciality pizza, looks good!
And Mickey waffles can be found at these restaurants.. most table service breakfast restaurants!

You can start booking your dining reservations from now (phone DVC guest services or do them online), as it's under 180 days to your trip... where to pick depends on what kind of food your family likes.. if you want to do character dining, buffets, fine dining etc.. Disney has it all!

Bringing snacks and bottled water into the parks - no problem at all; you will have your bags searched when you enter the theme parks by Disney security.. but they are looking for glass/weapons/dangerous items.

First family trips are super exciting!!

You won't have a problem finding pepperoni pizza or Mickey waffles! Pizza is as most, if not all, of the Disney hotels (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and at each park.

Yes, you can bring snacks and water bottles into the parks, but I don't think you can take a cooler into the parks (not that you said you were taking a cooler).

Since it's your first trip, there's tons to see AND do! I don't even know where to begin, haha!

Hello everyone... we will be visiting at Christmas time for the first time. We usually go in April or the summer, but I have always wanted to see Christmas decorations and while we are there, we also get to attend the MVMCP

We just bought into DVC at AKL so we are super excited to be staying on points. We will be there from Dec 10-14.

My husband and I have a trip planned for December 9th thru December 16 at Wilderness Lodge Woods View with DxDp and we can't wait! This is our second time to WDW (last trip was Sept 2008 for our honeymoon at AKL with DxDP) and we are really excited to see the Harry Potter stuff at Universal, so we are also planning to spend 2 days there, but if after one day we feel we've seen all Universal has to offer, we'll just spend more time at Disney! We're not sure how this will go because in the off-season at Universal Studios Hollywood, we've completed the park in 4 hours. I realize these parks should be bigger so I'm really just hoping we have enough time to see everything in the two parks and reride anything we really like.

I have many political and religious differences with Ms. Goldberg... FOr my family - having her there is wrong. I can get past our political differences but I do not see someone at a celebration of the birth of our savior as a baby spoken by someone who is such a strong supporter of abortion. Not trying to be a downer but that is the reason plain and simple... She can be there, I just have no desire to see her.

Not sure what the reasons of the other person are but that is why we are so upset. But it may turn out to be a blessing after all - my husband is 80% sure we are extending our stay one more day and we'll be able to see Steven Curtis Chapman who is a much more appropriate choice for my family.
