I booked a few days ago. first trip to WDW for me and the girls.

We're going Dec 4-12 staying at Port Orleans Riverside.

I haven't told them yet, and not sure if I will or not. we have to fly so they'll figure it out, but I want them super surprised

Some friends of ours made arrangements for a trip to Disneyland and didn't tell the kids anything. They drove from here (Utah) and really surprised them when they got them in the car first thing in the morning with all the luggage that the parents had secretly packed. The kids loved it!

I think a surprise trip would be awesome!! That's such a cool way to get excited quicly, plus, there is no endless waiting period.

I wish I could keep it as a surprise but I get so excited that I would scream it from the roof on day 2 LOL. I have a hard time keeping the special thing I book for them a secret. Last year I wanted to tell them so bad about the Pirate Adventure cruise I booked for them on Christmas morning. So I anyone who can keep their Disney trips a secret!

When we originally booked we were going to make this a surprise trip for the kiddos. That lasted about a week before we couldn't keep it a secret anymore.

Right now our kids don't know we are going either. They knew that I was trying to talk DH into a Dec. trip...but they have no idea it's booked! We have a 2-day DL visit in July when we are visiting friends in CA so every time I slip up and mention Disney, they just think I'm talking about this summer at DL. hee hee...silly children! They don't know the depth of my obsessive planning and plotting!

WOOOHOOO hours!! It makes it feel like we are finally getting closer once they are posted!!

I am still trying to decide where the heck we will be staying. I am booked in a 2bdroom at SSR but I want to change and try something new but only thing I can get is SSR or OKW for the entire time. So I will call MS YET AGAIN LOL and see what I can get today. I think they are going to get tired of hearing my voice.

There are a group of us friends headed down over the Christmas holiday. Are you mad you say, because the crowds will be huge, well yes we are, but then again I think the only thing that needs to be said is, sometimes you have to take the opportunity when it arises. Nine of us staying at different resorts and will be there from Dec 18-28 2010.

My wife and I will be staying at the Port Orleans Riverside Resort. My first trip to WDW will be a memorable one.

Alright well I changed resorts. We are now staying at OKW. I didn't want to do SSR two years in a row so I just changed the resort. DH is going to kill me because I have been obsessed with this for about 2 weeks now. I keep calling him to ask him and I get the same answer do whatever. So now I did. Please tell me I did not make a HUGE mistake? We did AKL last year and we are HOPING to get a THV next year so I figured lets try something new.

We'll be going 12/1-5, staying at AKL. It's become a tradition to go during this time of the year as our Xmas present to each other. The decorations are great, the crowds low, and weather nice. And we're at WDW, so what more could you ask for?

I would always opt to try something new. So if you've never stayed at OKW before, then I think it's great to try it out!

Although.. it says that AK and Epcot have evening EMH on December 15th.. I don't think that would be right? - this is just on the park by park calendars though.

Also looks like Typhoon Lagoon will be closed for refurb in December (BB open every day 10-5) - although I'm not sure we're planning to go to a water park this trip.. depends on the weather I guess!

December EMH Yah or Nah???

I keep going back and forth with our schedule wondering if we should plan on going to the parks with PM EMH or not??? Tour Plans and Tour Guide Mike both say to stay away from these parks on those days, but is that only for people staying off property or is that for everyone? We will be there Dec. 1-8and plan on doing the Friday night Epcot EMH, do a MVMCP one night and then not sure if we should do the DHS on Sunday and MK on Monday for EMH or do a different park those nights??? Is Monday night totally nuts at the MK during PopWarner? I feel like I'm going crazy moving everything around on our schedule all the time, but our ADR window opens on June 4th, so I want the schedule all figured out by then...I don't want to change things once I do the ADR's.
