**Official December 2010 Thread!!** - PART 2!

While we are on the weather, I thought I would share that I just finished our 3 matching fleece scarves with warm pockets on the ends to keep our fingers toasty. They are wide enough to double as butt warmers if we are lucky and get curbside for the parade. :rotfl2: 48 hrs until we leave for the airport!:cheer2:

Hey all!! Im getting SOOOOOOOOOOO excited.:banana: I can't believe a week from today I will (hopefully) be trying to coax my 5-year old onto the Tower of Terror :rolleyes1 (I know - no Mother of the Year awards for me)... This trip is all about HER so Im sure there is much I won't get to do (including TOT) however I am looking forward to being there with my babycakes and enjoying all the sites and maybe passing by one or two of you as you are on your own excursions. Anyone ever use the Unoffical Guide book?? I heard there are a lot of little secret tips and tricks in there and wasnt sure if it was worth getting... well.. only 6 days of WORK and THEN two weeks of FUN!!!!!!!!!:cheer2:

Last time we were there, my DD was 5 and my DS was 3.5. DD LOVED ToT. DS went on it willingly a few times, but didn't LOVE it like DD did. DS is now 5 and can't wait to go on it again.

We are driving, so I am packing clothes for all types of weather. We got caught off guard last January and had to spend money on gloves, hats and and sweatshirts. (WAY too much money...)

Don't think we are taking shorts, though...

I agree!:goodvibes The last time we went, we got caught off guard as well. We came from a cold state so we had some winter clothes with us, but not enough. We spent too much money on stocking hats and scarves, only because my DH kept losing just one glove! He would take them off, put them in his pockets and when he needed them only one glove came out! :confused3It drove me crazy! This time I'm going to be prepared!

Of course, now I have to unpack my suitcase:mad:, get rid of all the summer clothes and replace them with jeans, long sleeve shirts, hats and gloves!

I guess we will be hitting the road late Friday night. Of course, Friday morning will be pretty frantic:eek: with me running around, getting the van trip ready, getting last minute stuff and making sure everything is in the van that's suppose to be in the van! I'm doing last minute house cleaning and prepping for the cat sitter. I'm just about ready to rock and roll!!! :thumbsup2

Have a safe, smooth & steady flight!!:wizard:

True to form, when I have a vacation scheduled, some thing always come up.

I got a call today for a second interview for a job I am interested in. They wanted to do it the first day of vacation. I offered to do it the day before. They wanted a web interview the day I leave, but I will be traveling, so we settled on a web interview 1/2 through the trip. No ideal, but oh well.

Fish and chips from a real chip shop, mmmmmm. Pass the vinegar! Have a great trip Emma! Thanks for keeping us all organized.

exwdwcm~ Thanks for the live updates!!! I am especially excited to hear about Soarin... Jack measured at 37 inches at his 2 year old appt which was 8 months ago, and he had no problem getting on Barnstormer where they did actually measure him. I just think he would love Soarin! We'll see I guess!

Emma~ Have a great time! Thanks for all the time and effort you have put in!

To everyone else leaving in the next couple days, have a MAGICAL time!

Okay, so here's the story. We purchased two mvmcp tickets for 12/19 and one of them is missing. We cannot find it anywhere. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

hope you have a fabulous trip!

i want to thank you all for your kind thoughts and words of encouragement.

however, my mother and I will not be celebrating any of our personal triumphs next week at disney

they took ultrasounds of her abdomen and found that her gallbladder was twice the size. because she has CHF, she is not a candidate to have it removed. they were able to stick a tube down her throat yesterday and drain the bile. we don't know if they were able to remove any of the stones. this is all upsetting.
i want my mom to be happy and strong again. both of us have overcame some of the worst tragedies life faces this past year and we really needed this trip. i am just frustrated with this situation. believe me, i am through the roof happy that my mom isn't in as much pain anymore--but i know she wanted this as much as i did. :sad1:

i hope you all have a wonderful time in disney! you all deserve it and have been such fun with your planning. i wish you all nothing but pixie dust and magic:hug:

So sad to see that Elizabeth Edwards passed away today. Her poor children.

It makes me feel even worse that we are going to miss my mom's birthday during our trip. We are leaving now to take her to dinner to celebrate early. I hope she hasn't heard the news...

Oh no! I am so, so sorry. I'm sure your poor mom feels terrible about it for you. I know I did when we had to cancel because I was sick. Just give her lots of hugs, love, and support. Any time together, anywhere is precious. :flower3:

Oh no! That is a sold out night. :guilty: I think I'd call Disney and BEG. It couldn't hurt to try.

I'm so sorry. Cherish the time you have together, and know that no matter what happens, you will always strengthen each other. I hope that you get to take your postponed (not cancelled) trip soon.

Sorry to hear this, but glad that she's feeling a bit better. :flower3:That means that you have more time to plan for your next celebration. Enjoy your time together.:grouphug:

I'm so shocked. Just yesterday they were saying she had weeks to live. I wonder if they knew it would be that quick?

(I saw John Edwards in Target in Durham, NC once!)

The weird part is that I was more excited a month ago when my ticker read "4 weeks to go".... I'm guessing it hasn't it hit quite HARD yet! Probably once I've put my disney luggage tag and printed my online boarding passes it'll come to me...

All I know is that with hundred times of switching ADR's, it's FINALIZED since I got everything that I wanted. :banana: I no longer feel the urge to just peek and try again :rotfl:

Now, I've already put most of my stuff that needs packing and almost done...but after checking the weather. HOLY COW!!! It's going to be cold for the most part except for 3 days. Oh well, no biggie since I will be enjoying "The World" regardless. Just means that I need to replace those shorts with pants and repack.

So... here's the itinerary:
Leave for airport at 4am for a 6am flight out of SFO-check!
Arrive MCO at 5ish pm-check! (hoping flight is not delayed)
Check-in at Kidani and be mesmerized with Christmas decors-check!:santa:
Dinner @ Boma-check!
Thrilled to enjoy Holiday Spirit at the Happiest Place on Earth- PRICELESS!:cloud9:

I'm sorry you have to postpone your trip, Stuffed with Fluff. I hope your mom feels better soon and the two of you can reschedule your Disney trip soon!
