**Official December 2010 Thread!!** - PART 2!

Only 21 days! Already planning 2011 trip. Any word on bounce back opportunities?
That's a good question. We always have one in our room when we visit in December (usually a percentage off deal). I had a friend visit during the Food & Wine festival in October and they weren't offering any bouncebacks.

Since we are going on a Disney cruise next year, we are already locked into certain dates, so we are totally expecting to receive and use a BB this year!

With Star Tours being refurbished, are they still doing the jedi training?

DS is a Star Wars freak, and I was disappointed that Star Tours would be out and assumed that meant jedi training too, but now I am not sure.

I think so...I read somewhere where they were still doing the jedi training and I know the store is still open as well. Our DS 5 would be very disappointed if it wasn't!:scared1: He has just gotten into Star Wars and would love the opportunity to fight a "bad guy"! We plan on heading over our first day in the world! Don't forget there's also a store in Downtown Disney where kids can make lightsabers too! We arrive early one afternoon so I think we walk through Downtown Disney and let him go ahead and make his lightsaber so we won't have to carry it through the parks!:thumbsup2 Hope you guys have a great trip!:santa:

We cut down our tree and got the house decorated yesterday...next on the list a TON of errands today and headed upstairs to start getting packed!!!

FOUR MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What?! 12 days for RachealA? That means 11 days for us! I must have lost count. This is my busy time of year between internet orders, craft shows and production, it is a good thing my girls pack themselves or they would be running naked at MK :scared1:.

Emma, with all your free time :rotfl: could you add us to MVMCP on the 14th (thanking Katie again!!!!) and Gardenview Tea on the 13th at 4:40 (might just catch poppygirl and miss ficklepickle princess:)

I saw pics of a bell choir at the GF in the lobby and read that various choral groups perform in the deluxes throughout the season. Is there a place to go for times and dates or is it random luck? We plan to check out the monorail hotels on the 13th. (Shhhh - the girls don't know about tea yet - it's their bday celebration, but I am using the gingerbread house to lure them out of the parks and into GF).

It's all so close I can almost taste snowp on my tongue!:santa:

Called and requested to be in the Casitas section at CSR:banana: and had them note my avocado allergy to the reservation. It didn't occur to me to note it when I was making the ADR's because it's so uncommon as an allergy and I don't see it that often in food, I forget about it until I'm reading about it in a menu. Hopefully I'll catch it if they don't, otherwise I'll be experiencing some anaphalactic shock and my hubby will be searching for an ER:scared1:

For other FA families out there...

I did a blog post about Food Allergies and Disney World - http://www.themouseconnection.net/2010/10/allergies-disney-world-and-you.html

If you have a food allergy, I really suggest you give them a call. You need to do more than simply note it on your reservation. I do not have FA in my family, but I was THRILLED with the Special Dietary Request dept when I called for information for my blog post! They are AMAZING!

It is 44˚ in Dallas right now... Can you believe it is warmer in North central Texas than Florida?!?!

I'm still harvesting my garden and still have bushes full of roses all over my yard!

We have snow cover here. My DS and DH have already been out cross country skiing. I hope it is warm when we go. We've already had single digit highs here.

I only have one full work week left in December  And less than a week until we tell our son. 10 days left:cool1::cheer2:

I technically have 13 days till we leave. However I am not counting the day we leave and the day before as we will be staying overnight in a hotel at the airport. :goodvibes

Wow, I guess I don't get around the boards too much --

Just saw this thread, and looking through a bunch of the compilations (ADRs/Resorts), it seems like I might be seeing several of you around!

Our family is staying at Pop Century 12/9 - 12/17 (11 Days, yeah!), but we are only doing QSDP. We have three ADRs booked for meals OOP:

12/10 - Garden Grill @ 6:05 PM
12/12 - Crystal Palace @ 8:15 AM
12/14 - Kona Cafe @ 5 PM (Before MVMCP!)

I hope everyone is friendly if you see us around - me & my DH (also a DISer), our DD (26 Mos.), my sister, my future brother in law, and their son (12 mos.)!

I have been checking the weather reports religiously - and it looks like it's going to be COOL! 60s!?! I hope that changes in the next few days. I was really looking forward to a few days in the 70s.

Us too! We got a ton of snow yesterday and it was like a whiteout for about an hour. ARGH! Thank goodness DH and I have our snow tires on. The ski resorts are all open and thrilled with the natural snow, but I'm dreaming of a Disney Christmas!!!! :goodvibes

8 days for us today and DD woke up with a stomach bug. I really hope it cycles through DH and I quickly so it doesn't ruin this vacation.

We will be seeing you! We arrive at Pop the day after you and leave the same day. :wave2:

at this time next week we will have finished our meal with Pooh Bear at Crystal palace- the one meal DS has been asking about for a year now- to 'eat with Pooh'. Can't wait. I am packing right now!!!!!

I might be in the minority here but I was really hoping for something cooler than high 70's & 80's for our trip! We live in GA and it hasn't been very cool yet for it to be almost December (although we do have a cold front that just moved in yesterday). I was hoping for some cooler weather so I could get in the Christmas spirit. It's hard to get in the spirit when it's warm outside! But don't get me wrong... I will still be just as thrilled to be at Disney, no matter the temperature/weather!!! :yay::dance3::yay:
same here- although we've gotten some colder weather finally in Dallas! hoping for nice but cool weather in FL too!

yes, they are still doing it and i hear they have a new process. they are not randomly picking kids from the audience, instead, you go and sign up and they give you a time slot to come back for a certain show. So go early to sign up if you want to do an early show. The store is also still open too.

12/4 - 12/11 Coming soon!!! How about you?

Can't believe we'll be there in 11 days! Still have so much to do! And we're celebrating Christmas with my family on the 4th because that's the only time my brother and his family (who live in Colorado) could make it to NY. Had the kids start packing their stuff, but still need my husband to pull out my suitcase from attic so that I can do mine!

We are getting so close! Under the 3 week mark, and I already want to pack, but of course we don't know what the weather will be like and we need most of our clothes. I am hoping to be able to pack the majority of our stuff the week before on my day off and then pack the rest the day before since I am off then too, but we will see. I am really hoping for 2 days in the 80's (for swimming) and then the rest can be in the 70's/60's and 50's at night... in a perfect world.
