Our upcoming trip has been a bit of a roller coaster of emotions. Three months before our August 2007 trip, my DH lost his job. Three weeks after that 2007 trip in the mist of my trip report, I somehow managed to fall into a hole in a mall parking lot and fracture my left ankle, my right wrist, and tear some ligaments in my left arm. It has been 18 months of ups and downs, job interviews galore (still no job), physical therapy, a surgery two weeks ago to remove the bones that wouldn't heal in my wrist, and a decision to be made as to whether or not to go ahead with this vacation. Frankly we were all set to cancel everything but after a slow last few months, DH has gotten four job interviews for this week alone..so we decided since the trip was paid for already, we are going to hope that things are turning around for us and take this vacation.
Here is the plan so far
Dec 2 - Fly from Chicago to Orlando with luck arriving on time at 10:15 am. Take DME to Caribbean Beach Resort and check in. Go to EPCOT enjoy the day, have dinner at Teppan Edo at 5:00pm, CP at 8:15
Dec 3 - Back to EPCOT in the morning to meet up with our daughter's former fiance, Anthony and have lunch at Le Ceiler. Since Anthony lives in Florida, we are going to leave it up to him which park he would like to spend the rest of the day in
Dec 4 - AK and lunch at Yak and Yeti at 1:15, then a tour of decorations at some of the resorts
Dec 5 - Disney Studios Day, dinner at SciFi Drive in at 5:00 pm, catch the Osborne Lights
Dec 6- Magic Kingdom in the morning, dinner at 5:00pm at Boatwrights, then off to Downtown Disney, with a visit to Disney Quest
Dec 7- Back to the Magic Kingdom, dinner at 5:30 at Kona, then
MVMCP
Dec 8 - Check out for our 8am flight home to Chicago...unless we can stuck because of snow,
Anyway I am hoping that we are turning a corner and good things are headed our way!
