Official December 2008

18 days and it looks like it is chilly down there. Getting the fleeces and the hoodies ready.

13 days and I am freaking out. Is that normal? Our first trip to WDW was so last minute, I didn't have time to get nervous. I'm second guessing every thing! :scared:

Just as long as it is not going to be as cold as it was this morning here in MA!!! there should be no Disney bus drivers defrosting windows!! :santa:

I agree. There should be no Hidden Mickey ice scrapers. It will always be warmer than Massachusetts

I will be at the World in 10 days....leaving in 8 days to have Thanksgiving with family before heading for the vacation... :cool1:

I haven't started packing!!!:scared1: :scared1:

Someone help me!!!:scared: :scared:

Never been this time of year just school vacations and August so i am just not knowing what to expect. my vision is the weather in early May here where you need to cover from the chill in the AM PM but the sun warms you up. either way i bought a new polartech fleece and am awaiting shorts i ordered from the gap! it could go either way. need to start packing since the AAA agent called and has our documents! that means it is in fact real and i need to get in disney gear!!! ::::as i put on my scarf and gloves to leave the house::: Happy packing all! wear your lime green mickey head if you want to be bothered by the other mystery people your family is concerned about you talking too much to online!!

It is flurrying here. I read in another thread that it was cold there now. I have never been in December. Unfortunately work keeps adding meetings, cutting into my packing time. How dare they!;) I am having this weird feeling that I have been planning for so long it doesn't seem real or that it is actually going to happen.

Weather could go either way. The south has been kinda abnormally cold this year. I am going to pack for all kinds of weather to be prepared. I am sitting here right now, freezing. Don't know what the temperature is, but it isn't that warm unless you are in the direct sun and the wind isn't blowing.

we made our ressies 2 months ago and time started going by quick on our countdown to the magic however the last few days seems to have slowed down the clock.
we cant take it and hope the countdown to our christmas trip picks up momentum so we can get there!!

18 days to go here.

Typically I'd be "locked & loaded" by now. But alas - NOTHING is done!

We've been short-staff at work for nearly 4 months and we anticipate a family death (long term illness) within days. Needless to say, this trip isn't even on the backburner. I had to BEG to take tomorrow off even though I've put in crazy hours.

Breathe in. Breathe out.

Let's all remember how lucky we are to even be going - and many of us are on our up-teenth trip (#19 here). We get this time away from work and stress. Most of us are staying at a Disney resorts - a complete escape from reality. We have the luxury of having other people cook for us for days on end. Best of all, we pretend we're kids again.

So tomorrow I will try to steal away a few minutes to at least get the rolling duffle out of the closest and open my Excel with the standard WDW packing list on it. To be greatful for the Thanksgiving holiday. To know after I have to work on Sat. Dec. 6 that I can exhale and only worry about getting to the (new) Indy airport. Perhaps the parks will be crowded with other fanatics like me, but as is often said:

The worst day at Disney is still better than a good day anywhere else.

Enjoy the anticipation, fellow Disers.

I have a laundry basket full of warm weather clothing cleaned and ready to go. All dry cleaning in hanging and ready to go. The "bring to disney" box is filled to the top and the suitcases are down from the attic airing out in the laudry room.

But alas, the weather is so up and down I am not packing until right before we leave. It is all organized, clean and ready. I overpacked so much last trip it was criminal:scared1:

Seriously, I am more worried about getting my tree up, house decorated in side and out and the rather large 60 Birthday celebration I am hosting for my Mom the eve before we leave. :headache: Oh and did I mention Thanksgiving dinner I am also hosting!

Thank goodness I am going on VACATION! :cool1:

OMG I just checked the countdown calendar....call me a ditz but I am down to 15 more days that is 364 hours to see MICKEY!!!!!
