I had not heard about this. Do you have to attend the meeting to get the pin?

Yes, you did. On March 10th, Disney shareholders at the actual meeting received a pin marking the date of the launch of D23.

As an aside, kudos to WendyKnowlton for getting her first Disney share! Great price right now too. My fiance and I have been Disney shareholders for years. We figured, "why shouldn't we buy into the companies that we love to support the most?" We also owned shares of Pixar before the two stocks combined under Disney. The market has been down in every sector, but we're contributing to the company as Disney fans... I believe it will pick up again in the years to come.

I can put up a picture of my D23 launch pin and the fliers that were passed out at the meeting, if you are interested? The pin is a picture of Mickey as the bandleader and has a gold finish, like the Charter Year Tinkerbell pin. (I didn't buy the Tinkerbell pin, because I had this Mickey bandleader pin with the date of the launch.)

I am looking forward to getting the lithograph/poster very soon!

Did you plan to buy the official D23 frame for your certificate? It looks very nice, hidden mickeys and all, but the price is a bit steep. Has anyone bought it and can tell us more about it?

I received the Lithograph today and was super excited! It is really cool!
The ink is also fade resistant which I thought was pretty neat. I can't wait to get it framed!
I am still waiting on my certificate and the magazine. My pin is scheduled to be delivered today, maybe the magazine will come too. (Fingers Crossed)

I have received my hoodie and pins today. For some reason they have added "England" in capital letters at the bottom of my address. I have no idea why they have done this as I don't live in that country, but that seems to explain why it has gone to England first and then taken a week to get to Scotland from there.

No sign of the membership card etc yet - but if it has been diverted to England as well - maybe it will be a few weeks yet.

And what happened to the bi weekly newsletter via email - no sign of that yet either.

I am not impressed.

I got the lithograph poster today. It's beautiful! It came in a poster tube. I think I'll be getting it framed.

First, I got my launch day t-shirt, then came my membership card, yesterday I got my membership kit and then today I got my Disney Movie Rewards D23 pin, so all I am missing now is my lithograph!

I got my membership card 2 days ago (and the envelope is pinned on my bulletin board ), my band leader Mickey t-shirt yesterday (ADORABLE with the launch date on the back!!!), and today I received my certificate and Magazine. I'm PSYCHED! Just waitin' for the litho.

but yeah, I'm curious about the e-newsletter as well. What's up with that?


I'm having so much fun with this. I'm going to keep the plastic slip the Magazine came in to keep the Magazine in mint condition....and years from now won't it be nifty to say I have the first D23 issue WITH original slip?

I also check the website daily because I love the comics they post!

I got my D23 Membership for my Birthday. I got the packet in the mail yesterday but my husband won't let me open it until my Birthday tomorrow. It's killing me to see it and not be able to rip it open.

My DH and I were at Barnes and Noble today, killing some time before a movie. I spotted the D23 magazine and squeeled, ran over, and picked up a copy. My squeel must have been loud b/c several people looked at me like I was crazy. When DH found where I went he asked me "what the heck was wrong with me?" I just held up the magazine and said "it's d23, they have the d23 magazine". He just rolled his eyes and told me to "get some help for my Disney addiction, and walked off". Someone else had taken it out of it's plastic package, so I started looking through it. When I didn't follow him, he came back and got me. Of course he expected me to stand right by him while he looked at C#, C++, programming and other computer books.

I feel the same way! Aww, just look at the lot of us... We are SUCH Disney collectors.

I wouldn't mind buying an extra copy of the first issue of D23 magazine, just in case I want to sell it to a future D23 member someday. I'll take a look at my B&N this weekend.

I enjoy visiting the D23 site every day to read the Mickey cartoon and check if anything new pops up.

I recieved the magazine, sticker, and member certificate yesterday. Wow! I had heard someone describe it as a magazine/coffee table book hybrid, and they weren't kidding!! It's beautiful and I found myself carefully turning pages and wowing with every page change.

It's worth every penny!! Now just the wait for the gift....

I got my membership card last week, my lithograph yesterday and my first issue of D23 and my membership certificate today!!

Anybody know if the D23 pin from Disney Movie Rewards is gone or just back ordered? I got my Pinocchio DVD this week which put me over the 500 mark for rewards but when I went to order it today it wasn't available I hope it becomes available (or something else like it) again!

I am so happy i thought since I quit my job to follow my heart, there would be no way I could joinn till atleast 2010, what I great surprise. My card cam last night which was the day of my LAST TEST!!!

Not really in the UK, but Austria, and I have joined on March 10th as well. I haven't received anything yet either.
