I thought that many of us would like to see some recipes for crock pot meals for our busy lives. I am looking for some that are kid friendly. I will add one here for everyone that m children love!

We call this "White gravy chicken" My kids do not know the ingredients and they wont until they are 18 LOL if they knew they ate this they would never eat it again, even if it is one of their favorite meals!

White Gravy Chicken
4 chicken breasts, whole or chopped in large pieces
1 can of cream of mushroom condensed soup (i use this)
or
1 can of cream of chicken
Add milk for the soup
let simmer all day
serve over rice or noodles

Simple, quick and easy to throw in the crock pot before work! Hope you enjoy! I have more but I will let others share!

Thanks for the recipe. Sounds yummy!!

You will find a lot more crock-pot recipes at the Cooking forum...there's a "crock-pot crazy" sticky at the top of the page there.

I got a crock pot recently and burned ribs (i'm not lying!) then i cooked beef stew and it came out grey looking! My husband says he knows when dinner is ready because the pork chops pop out of the toaster. I am going to try some of the recipes here though, thanks for posting them.

Thanks for the link to the recipes thread! I got a new pretty (red) crock pot for Christmas and I love it. I've only made a couple of different things in it so far, though (lemon chicken and Italian chicken).

You know those shiny little recipe books at the check-out stands in the grocery store? They had one this week full of crock-pot recipes. Just thought I'd share.

I'd love to get a crock pot, but am too afraid that it would set the house on fire while I was out. Anyone else feel like that before they got one? What convinced you?

Thank you for reminding me, DH is due to make his pot roast again. My favorite thing from the crock pot, and his is amazing, so I don't even try. To make it:

2 quarts beef stock
3 to 5 lbs bottom round roast
2 jars brined onions, drained
1 lb carrots, sliced and cut
2 stalks celery, sliced
2 pounds potatoes, quartered
4 cloves minced garlic
salt pepper garlic powder and onion powder

He throws everything in the crockpot and starts it on low at night before he goes to bed and the next night, we've got an amazing dinner.

yes, i second that "crock pot crazy" thread that is 4 years old & still going. :thumbsup2 I've gotten some great recipes from it. Our favorite is the pork ribs with bbq sauce. Soooooo easy. DH can even throw it together---and has. We never had ribs at home before that because they never came out right. These are perfect!!

SplshMtn99- I'm in central Ma, also. My cat, Sydney, looks exactly like your Splash. She was a stray that adopted me last summer. Maybe they're related ;)

Just slightly off topic. I keep seeing the title of this thread and see crack pot recipes. :lmao:

Check out the book fix it and forget it lightly at target. I've made 2 recipes so far from it and they have been great.
