They have launched an official CP blog on http://disneyprogramsblog.com

It really is for the CP, International, and PI programs, but so far it looks to be really focused on the CP.

It is nice and is something that they needed to do years ago.

I was looking over the "new" CP site and was shocked by the lack of content compared to the old one. It looks really nice, but it is missing some really important info. Hopefully they use their blog to fill in the gaps that were created.

I haven't been thrilled with the way they have handled their Facebook and Twitter accounts as they could be doing a lot more with both. I'm optimistic that this will be used better.

Yea, I wasn't impressed with the new website or the whole being accepted process. I have no information on the housing situation. No idea where I am going to be living, though I paid $300 for it already, and there is no information on the housing at all.

You'll have a bunch of forms to fill out and stuff. They may not have sent you that info yet. Based on what I'm reading, their new system isn't exactly smooth. I've even applied myself even though I can't participate just to see what the new system is like. I don't like it. the old one wasn't amazing or anything, but this just seems very stop and go and then wait.

i was totally shocked by the lack of content on their new site. it is very pretty, but that doesn't make up for lack of information. navigation is difficult too.

My opinion started forming from their main page where they are featuring a character attendant. A role that is only offered at WDW and doesn't have very many openings. It isn't representative of the majority of the roles that a CP could be in (attractions, merch, qsr, custodial, lifeguard) and that role totally excludes Disneyland opportunities.

I like the blog, though. People shouldn't have to go to 3-4 different places to get info. that is just bad.

So, I saw a blog post about picking classes, but I haven't found anywhere that tells you what classes there are to take. Do we find out when we get there or do we sign up before we get there? It's really confusing.

used to be you do it when you are there.

this last semester they had an online registration form. that was on the old site though.

it sounds like they haven't really communicated where to go to do all of this stuff before you get there yet.

im sure they have a section of the new site with this info. it would be ridiculous if they didn't.

@_@ I am such a bad luck charm. Every time I join something, it changes and there are problems. When I first joined TRT at Comic Con, they changed a bunch of stuff and there was a ton of logistics problems, then when I started college, they put a credits maximum which caused problems for some people, and when I joined an RP forum, people started fighting and destroyed the forums. I'm sorry.
