*** Official CHRISTMAS WEEK planning thread***

We are arriving on 12/20, which is the day of the last MVMCP. I'm wondering if it is worth doing the party. It is probably the only special event we have never done at WDW, but it seems like everything offered during the party can be seen without paying extra admission later in the week. Do you folks think it is worth doing the party anyway? We are longtime Disney vets and we aren't concerned much about getting on rides, but we do want to experience all the Xmas stuff.

Count me in!! We will be there Dec 21-27th staying at Port Orleans Riverside, and with free dining!! This is our very first Christmas trip to Disney and our first time being away for the holidays on Christmas Day. I'm getting excited!!

I'm also thinking about booking a CP package but I'm not sure I want to use two dining credits for it. I'm on the fence with it.

We are going the same exact dates at the same exact hotel!!

My husband refuses to use up 2 credits for any package, or any restaurant.

I'd like to join! We are going Dec 21-28 and staying at AoA (LM room so no free dining ) This will be our 2nd Disney vacation (our first time was Feb '11) and I am totally expecting the mass of people.

I made my plan based on easywdw and I am anxious to make ADRs on the 24th!!

I have heard that the week of Christmas the parade is the same as the party and so ate the fireworks, but I don't know that for sure. Basically people have said Christmas week it's like the party every day without the cocoa and cookies..... If it is true I will just buy the cookies

The parade and fireworks are the same as the party that week. Very awesome. Christmas week was crowded but so doable. Get to the parks early. Leave at lunch. Come back after dinner. Take it all in. You will not regret it.

My parents and I (along with DBFF) will be there from the 20th through 27th at Fort Wilderness.

DBFF and I are flying in on the 19th going to MVMCP that night and moving over to FW on the 20th when my parents come in with the camper. I couldn't get a good deal on a flight for the 20th, that is why we are going on the 19th.

Right now our plans are being in MK on Christmas Day and going to CP. We aren't sure when we are going to do CP yet. I am thinking Christmas Eve, but I don't know. I also want to HS to see the Osborne Lights.

I think we might go to AK, but that isn't a definite.

This will be our second Christmas at Disney. Last year we were there for 2 weeks at AoA LM room with FD.

Count us in too! We are doing Disney Cruise 22-26 Dec and then POFQ 26 Dec-1st Jan. First time doing Christmas in the world and can't wait!

Very excited! Also super jealous of you guys with pins- no such luck booking here from UK- dates blacked out after 13th Dec :-(

I called yesterday morning and got the ADR I wanted for Christmas Morning. I got Crystal Palace for breakfast. I wanted to get something inside the park that way I can be there and once it gets too crowded head back to the camper to relax. Now just waiting on Candlelight Processional.

I'm also waiting (not so patiently) for the Candlelight Processional packages. I am debating trying out Coral Reef this time, as we have never been. I'd say my choices in order are Via Napoli, Coral Reef, or Biergarten.

Got the dates, times and restaurants we were hoping for

except wanted the candle light processional package on Christmas Eve
I was told that can't be booked yet to check daily as to find out when Disney will release the packages for reservations

Anyone have any info on when you can usually book the package?

No info yet, and it's driving me crazy. We don't normally do sit down's but I want CP lunch on Christmas Eve also.

I was told the website is stating the packages will be available soon ~ I can't find, what part of the website are you checking or are you just calling reservations? I really want it too ~ seems like a memorable Christmas Eve
