"Last Action Hero" was a fun episode, and I enjoyed it. Not a top 20, but still lots of fun. The B story was almost a bit more interesting.....
loved:
Castle's disappointment on finding out his hero was not in the Spanish CIA. And Kate's eye roll and "oh, my God" when he reacts to the fact that Tory has found out something
Castle & the guys watching the movies, and Kate catching them
Castle & the poster. First saying that he had it on his wall for "about a minute" (when he sees Kate's reaction) and then asking the guys if they think she'll sign it and Ryan asking "when? on her way to jail?"
Castle fangirling when he meets the actor. And being thrilled that the guy reads his books, even if it's in the bathroom.
Ryan trying to come up with a catch phrase
Castle's reaction when he's asked to join them for drinks, and him telling Kate about it. Her teasing him, him calling her his "boyhood dream" but then continuing to talk, and her telling him to stop talking
Castle in the car when he finds out what's really going to happen. "My wife is a cop & she'll kill me!"
Castle with the sleeves ripped off his shirt (be still my heart, Nathan's arms are wonderful!) and the headband he made out of the shirt. Him walking with the others, but reacting to the explosion.
and that got a shout out from TV Line (no. 7):

the Kate/Lanie scene in her apartment
the ending scene when Kate carves her initials.
At the crime scene, when Ryan asks what else Lance has done lately and Castle says "beat cancer"
When they pull off the heist, and the actor wants to kick in the door, but Castle stops him & checks it first.
I liked the scene with them packing up her kitchen - he looked adorable in her beret & scarf. Loved the exchange about the skillet.
And then he said why he didn't like her apartment, which set off a lot of fans. And while I don't disagree with them, I think it was the writers who wanted a scene between Lanie & Kate instead of Rick & Kate.
All in all, a fun episode and I really enjoyed it. One more new episode, and then a repeat of "Driven" before the mid-season hiatus.
