Narcoossee's is definitely on our rotation of signature dining, with CG and Citricos. It is nice to watch the fireworks from the outdoor dock there; like CG, it's better to go outside than try to watch from your table. The feel of the restaurant is different-- it is smaller and feels more "seaside" in its decor. The food is based on seafood and meats, along the line of CG. However, it does not have special apps like the CG flatbreads or sushi.

Thanks for the info. Sounds fine. I will keep my 10/22 reservation unless i get CA Grill.

I've got Narcoossees booked as backup too. I've eaten there before and enjoyed it very much but I also booked blue zoo for another night and prefer not to have two seafood places. I know we can get something besides seafood at either but you know. I want CG 10/6!!

I bet there will be a lot of canceled ADR once CG opens up!

We actually went with ohana as a back up. I know it's entirely different but we have never found time to eat there on past trips and want to check it off the list. I'm hoping we don't check it off on this trip either!

I do believe when it DOES open up for ADR, the whole system will crash from all the calls!:yay:

Anxious to try it either on our October trip or our February trip!

I was booking Party for the Senses this morning and I asked the CM about CA Grill. She said that the Omasake (sp?) reservations will be taken first, before the regular tables. One seating at 8 pm, 9 diners, $140. Not open yet for reservations and no date set.

I'm brand new to the thread- hoping for an early November ADR. I've read back a few pages, and now I understand why I can't get a Narcoosee's ADR either, as my backup! :)

Citricos is my backup to my backup. California Grill is the only place I've eaten on the monorail loop. Any thoughts on Citricos?

We really enjoy Citricos, we go every time we are at WDW. Our three favorite restaurant's are CG, Narcoosee's and Citricos. And I have a reservations for each of these when we go in 25 days.

Really??? I had a feeling it would be pricy but that's crazy! For me I think I'd rather save money and god to Victoria and Alberts...

Citricos is our CG back-up this trip. We've eaten there several times before and have never been disappointed. Before kids, we always made a point to eat at both every trip (in fact, Citricos had become 1st night tradition - now it's Chef Mickey's...but that's kids!) I'll only be moderately disappointed if I can't make it to CG - mostly because of the "new" factor.

We've also eaten at Narcoosee's on several occasions and, while we've never had a bad meal there either, it has a much more casual feel (IMHO) than CG or Citricos. When you are paying nearly $100 for sitter for a night out, I want it to be special. :goodvibes

It's funny... I was almost certain I would try this, but it is such a short trip that having it start right when wishes does means I'm not interested at all, lol! :goodvibes

That time is probably for sept and oct when Wishes is at 9. Maybe the time will vary. Debating on whether to try to do this in Oct.

Even then - I certainly hope a $140 per person dinner wasn't less than an hour! ;) Maybe they take a break specifically for it, but that would seem odd for such a special event too.

I was thinking that the break would be good. Is it all sushi do you know?

Sadly I don't... since its basically chef's choice I would think it will be different every night but I bet we won't know until someone goes/we get a bunch of reports back. Doing all sushi might be kinda risky, especially since it sounds like with only 9 and only a couple times a night everyone in your group has to be game.

Surprising we haven't heard anything yet. There seems to be leaks about everything else lol. I'm getting antsy trying to finish off my itinerary! :)
