And I just got off the phone with a CM who said it's supposed to soft open at the end of the month, but they don't know when ADR's will open yet...just to keep checking. They might not even get any advance notice.

I really don't think this is possible as we reserved one of their private rooms several weeks ago for a wedding reception. They wouldn't have let us do that (and charge our credit card the full amount) if they weren't sure they would have the restaurant finished and opened. We'll be there the evening of September 27th.

I just received the booklet for the Wine and Food Festival and there is a Cal Grill diner set for November 7 at 6:30 pm for only $260 per person. So at least we know it will be open by then.

Maybe but remember that is a "Special" dinner and only served on November 7 at 6:30 pm. Plus you will have to sign up for it and probably pay before the 7th.

I agree on the sentiment and the gratitude for the laugh this morning. I needed it! The problem is, will we be able to determine if it is white or will it be sort of white thereby making it impossible for us to know if we should grab our phones or keyboards?!

I have been stalking the Dining section and MDE for the opening of California Grill. I'll be going mid Sept and I know its a long shot to get a ressie but I'm optimistic lol

CaliGrill is not as difficult to get ressies for as one may think. It is a bit harder during free dining BUT many people cannot afford to pay out of pocket or give up 2 dining credits per person to eat there. It is def worth it especially if you are with all adults. The food and service are wonderful. Don't get discouraged ......check daily as we all are and when they do open ADRs try each and every date you will be there...You should be able to get a ressie.
