I am thinking about ordering the generic cake form WCC for my grandsons birthdays. But I want to see a picture of one. Can anyone help me out. I would order the one with white cake and white frosting.

This is the generic cake.... Since I called ahead to order it they added "Mommy" for me.

I just ordered my birthday cake today!!!

My family, friends, and I will be celebrating it at a Kona Cafe lunch. I got a 10" chocolate cake with fruit mousse filling with a whipped cream icing! I was wondering if anyone has had the fruit mousse and if they liked it.

Also, does anyone know how much it costs to have the edible images put on. The CM I talked to said for a topper it is an extra $25 but I didn't ask about the edible images...

I'll be sure to pictures after my b-day in August!

On page 28, post 415, there's a photo of the same cake in vanilla served at 'Ohana. The poster wasn't sure of the filling at first, but ended up being impressed by it. I'm thinking about ordering the same cake for a friend's birthday so I'll be interested to hear whether or not you liked it.

Happy birthday!:bday:

Thanks so much! I'll be sure to put up a review of my cake... it looks good in the picture :goodvibes

:cheer2: DD wants to eat Mama Melrose for her Birthday. I'm not hearing the best about it, I then made reservations for CP 10:30. I wanted to get her the slipper but I hear that it is only at GF. A good cake would be great also. Do any of you have a suggestion:wizard: :cheer2: princess: ?

Can you use the hotline number if you want it to come to your room? I noticed it says "Table service restaurants". My DD 1st birthday is the 23rd of August. We will be staying at Wilderness Cabins from 8/2 - 8/9 and everyone wants to have her birthday party while we are there. We are not doing any parks (if we do it will only be 1 day) and not much restaurants while there. We are just going to be vegetating by pools (some pool hopping) and watch fireworks from the lake and cooking on grill at cabin while there (this was kind of last minute planned trip). So I would like a cake delivered to cabin during the last couple of days (7th or 8th) we are there.

As far as I know, cakes are only delivered to Deluxe resorts (those that do room service).

Yo can pick up a cake from MK bakery and from the BW bakery though. That might be your best bet if you are not doing a TS restaurant.

Sounds like agreat vacation plan!

Can you order a cake to be delievered to the room at the Beach Club?

I could also have one at our dinner at Spoodles the first night we are there, but which would be better?

How did it taste?

Surprisingly good. Perhaps since it was preordered it had all day to thaw out :confused3 It didn't tast frozen at all. In fact, later in the week we had a cake from MK Bakery delivered to LTT and DH thought the first one was just as good (and half the price!)

We had a cake made for us at POR and it was great!:goodvibes

We will be at Port Orleans Riverside in Sept. which is close to our 15th wedding anniversary. :woohoo: I was thinking of surprising DH with a cake. I can't decide if I want to do it in the room or at a restaurant.
Do you have a picture of your cake? Maybe a little more info. like the kind, filling and price? Any info would be great! TIA:hippie:

Any suggestions on something different for me this year?? This will be my dd's 3rd bday at the world, the first year bday cake at LTT before MVMCP, 2nd year, same but also did bday breakfast at CRT. This year she's decided on bday breakfast at Ohana and dinner at LTT... Can I order a castle cake and have it sent to LTT or would I order one ahead at the MK bakery and pick it up on the way to dinner? Is that possible?? For my son (same week) we always have his bday dinner at Chef Mickey's, I would like a different cake for him too - anyone know if you can get any cakes with Lightning and again do I have to pick it up somewhere or can I have it delivered to CM's? Getting harder to top it every year!! Thanks

Stacey

If you are talking about the mini wedding cake with the white chocolate castle on top, that is only available (that I know of) at the GF restaurants.

Just call the cake hotline and ask what they can do for the restaurant you want to eat at and they will help you arrange it.

I'm sure you can arrange a cake for CM's.

Lots of nice ideas for decorations.[/QUOTE]

Here's a decoration idea for you that we've done that also serves as a really neat keepsake/souvenior.

When we're in Disney (or on the Disney cruise) and it's a family member's b-day, we decorate 2 poster boards with their picture, stickers with favorite characters, b-day stickers, etc. and put it on the outside of our hotel room door. We write on the top in big bold letters "It's (name) birthday ... please sign your name and write where you're from and add a birthday wish" It is awesome how many people will do it and it is really cool to get signatures from people all over the world!

Then when we get home, we put it up at home for a few months and it always makes me smile when I look at it.
