Official Avengers Super Hero Half Marathon Weekend 2014 Thread!

Last day to update Proof of Time is tomorrow. Go to the site and double check that you are all set. They are using a new process so go to Avengers on RunDisney site. Click runner information and Proof of Time. Click the link to update. Once you find your name, click update. Make sure all your information is listed and add the link to your race results. We emailed TrackShack to get the scoop and this will be the new method to better verify times and ensure proper Corral placement.

If anyone else is curious, here's how you times would have shaken out for the Disneyland Half ..... probably similar to what we'll find for the Avenger's.

Hows training going for everyone?

Not so good here. I still can't run over 1.5 miles due to my IT band. And the stomach flu hit my family, including me. I haven't run since Monday and have zero energy right now. Though I'd love to say I'm going to run tonight, I dont know that I could survive a mile long walk today, let alone a run.

I am wondering the same thing (I see that the Get Travel information says they are not up-gradable, but I still wonder -- these types of policies seem sometimes to be 'grey').

I actually just got a response from Get Travel and what they said was this...which leads me to believe that they might be upgradable at the ticket booth. I'll find out in November I guess!

"GET Travel will not upgrade the passes to an annual pass but I cannot answer for what Disney will be willing to do with your tickets."

I also asked about the ticket expiration dates and she stated the expiration date is 12/15. So my ticket I'm getting in Nov for Avengers will expire 12/15/14 and the one I'm getting for Star Wars will expire 12/15/15.

So I need a little advice to be able to make this trip happen. Due to the end of my relationship all my original plans for this weekend are off. I'm now trying to do this on more of a budget. I'm sure a lot of hotels are booking up or have but any advice on places to stay? Also I've only been to Disney World, is it better for me to book with GET, with AAA or with Disney themselves? Are the prices that different?

I still so want to run this but I need to plan a different trip to make that happen.

I LOVE the Half medal...makes me want to train even harder to earn it!!! And perhaps start working on an epic Avengers costume for the race...hmmm How does everyone else feel about the medals?

Hi. I stay at the Anaheim plaza hotel on Harbor. It's cheap and close to the parks. Just ask for a top floor and in the back for a quiet room.

I like Anabella and Ramada Plaza (though I last stayed at RP in 2011, so we'll see at the end of this month how it is nowadays!), personally.
