Can't wait to register next week! My friend has demanded we run the 10K as Cap (me) and Bucky (her). Gotta think of costumes for the half, but I'm beyond excited that they added the challenge!

I didn't run it last year, but another site I participate on had the pricing posted from the inaugural mission. The 5k is up $5 and the half marathon is up $4, which seems in line with the other runDisney price increases -- never quite what the supply/demand picture would seem to support.

The 10k and Challenge are new to this event weekend, but using last year's Disneyland Weekend as a proxy, the 10k is "up" $5 and the Challenge is "up" $10.

Just talked to my family...I thought my brother and his oldest might run the 5k, but all four are going to run it, which means now I need to consider running all three races. Good thing I'm going in from the east coast!

I'm excited runDisney has finally announced the 10K and Challenge! Both great additions. Some of the travel agent sites have started posting the prices for hotels and are starting to get packages together. I'm already starting to get a little nervous about early registration next week. Ha ha.

I'll also be interested to find out what night they are having the Pasta party, they list that in the opening paragraph on the Avenger page, and the have a Pasta party tab hidden in the code but no official description yet. I'm hoping to hit up the pasta party to make sure we get pics with some of the unique Avengers. I know last year on the course lines with the characters got very long VERY fast.

Help! I can't find where the link is for annual pass holders to register. I have looked in the Diseyland Go website and can't find the run.

You can view the page by going to the Annual Passholder tab, click on "News for Passholders". Currently the runDisney post is at the top of that page. The page lists the dates of early registration and the link to the runDisney AP page.

Well crap - I just realized that they're doing an Infinity Gauntlet Challenge as well as a Captain America 10K! Nice of them to do this. I did the 1/2 last year and loved it despite the windy conditions. I was leaning to trying to do the Star Wars 1/2 in January instead but if I can convince my wife doing both (we live in the Cleveland area) that would be magical

Anyone runing the Wine and Dine then the Avenger challenge? I'm defiantly going to try to sign up for the Avengers 10k, but considering the challenge... But, is it too much in so little time?

It just depends on your level of fitness and how hard you push in each of the races. If you can throttle back on your pacing without risking the sweepers, you'll need less recovery time to move from one race to the other, and you can take that entire week between weekends to just rest as well.

I've not done these race weekends back-to-back, but I've done marathon weekends that way along with having done the Goofy Challenge twice -- as many runDisney runners have. It's definitely possible so long as you recognize the challenge and adjust your pace and expectations accordingly. :thumbsup2

Honestly, the biggest challenge I see to doing the Infinity Gauntlet Challenge after Wine & Dine is the challenge to your wallet... :crazy2: ;)

I'm possibly doing this. My wife and I are doing the Wine & Dine 1/2 and if I decide to do Avengers 1/2 again (I did it last year), I will be going for the Infinity Gauntlet challenge. If you do the W&D 1/2 and then take a few days off followed by a short run in the middle of the week, I think it should be fine to do both (or all three).

Last year at the first Avengers 1/2 there was quite a few runners there who had done Wine & Dine the week before.

The Pasta in the Park has been added to the runDisney site.

Friday, November 13, 2015
7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Location: Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree inside Disneyland® Park

Pasta in the Park Party Pricing:
  • With a Theme Park Ticket
    • $135.00 for Adults (ages 10 and up)
    • $115.00 for Children (ages 3-9)
  • Without a Theme Park Ticket
    • $89.00 for Adults (ages 10 and up)
    • $69.00 for Children (ages 3-9)

Glad they officially announced the Pasta party. I think stage 17 at DCA would have provided a more exclusive/trendy vibe, but I'm guessing Olaf might still be "chilling" in there since his meet and greet has been very successful... But Disneyland and Big Thunder Ranch will be fun too.

Good luck to all those trying to register tomorrow!

Just FYI - these will be your links for early registration and again for open registration, for those of you that want to bookmark and bypass the inevitable RunDisney site crash:

Registration Page (aka Waiver Page): https://www.active.com/register/index.cfm?EVENT_ID=2138926&CHECKSSO=0

Active Page: http://www.active.com/anaheim-ca/ru...ngers-super-heroes-half-marathon-weekend-2015

They generally go active around 5-7 minutes before Noon EST.

I usually just keep refreshing the AP and DVC pages every few minutes starting at 11:50. Are these links more direct than that? Will they require me to sign in again to verify my eligibility to register early? Just want to do it as fast as I can.

I already shared this in a couple of places on Facebook, but a little humor ahead of the early registration today... :goodvibes

Thanks @Keels for the info on the links!! :grouphug:

I'm in such a nervous state about registering I looked quick and missed the part up top about humor, so for about 5 seconds I was panicking!. Then intelligence and reason returned to my brain and I looked again. Pretty funny :thumbsup2

I'm already sitting her logged into DVC and the passholder page ready to start the reloading frenzy :worried:
