Hello! Our family is coming back home from August 20th-30th and we are incredibly excited to be staying at CR!!!

Joining in on the fun! Our family will be staying at Coronado’s Gran Destino from Aug 28 - Sept 6!

We have a split stay (both at CR.. long story) and were only able to book the first 3 days on Friday morning and then I was able to book the remaining 9 days this morning. When I booked on Friday I had to do a lot of shuffling and the times were no where near what I wanted (even at exactly 6am!) this morning I had absolutely NO issue getting exactly what I wanted at the times I wanted!
I wonder if it’s an indication that the 23-30th will be quieter???

By the way, is there an "official" DIS abbreviation for Gran Destino? I used CS / GDT

Couldn’t sleep much last night. Went to bed at 8pm CST but My DP was snoring like crazy last night. He never snores. He wouldn’t stop.
Got out of bed at 4am, just couldn’t take it anymore. Plus, my alarm was set for 4:30 to make my ADRs. surprisingly I got all the restaurants at the times I wanted, along with Savi‘s, Droid Builder, and Harmony Barber’s Shop haircut for my DS.
I thought, too good to be true. Ok time to get some sleep.

But then ..... a cry from my DS’s room. He is sick. 103.5 fever. Got doc appt at 10:45. Doc confirmed, he has type B flu.
Is it bad that I am using the happiness of getting all my ADRs to help me take care of my little man even though I’m so tired I could cry?

FY, I had to use my desktop with 2 browsers, Chrome and Safari,
and the MDE app to make the ADRs. I would book one using Chrome, try for another one and the site would have my travel dates grayed out. Try on Safari, I was able to book the next one. The desktop MDE wouldn’t let me book Savi’s, but I could on the app. Went back and forth with all 3 till I got them all.

Thank-you SO much for reminding me to book Harmony Barber Shop! I almost forgot and DD has been waiting almost 5 years for her first haircut at MK!

Hey, fellow August travelers! I decided I'd check and see if CP was available for an early breakfast on Aug 2, not really hopeful, but what the heck...

WIDE. OPEN.

Thought that was weird. Then, out of curiosity, checked CM, CRT, BOG for breakfast. Then checked all four for the entire day.

WIDE. OPEN.

My ADR window is currently 155 days, and my historical experience has been those reservations should have mostly been LONG gone by now, at least at CRT and BOG.

Are we... looking at a "quiet" August, perhaps???
