Booked our flight tickets for our trip so we are all set to go! Pretty excited that we got 25% off our plane tickets!! We had planned to buy them this week, and then they went on sale. All signs are pointing to this trip being a good idea. I cannot wait for some quality/fun time with my honey!

My son and I are headed down to Disneyland at the end of August. We'll be there from the 21st to the 27th. The first four days at Disneyland then at least one day up at Universal. I really want to check out the new Harry Potter world. We'll be staying at the Camelot Inn. I've never stayed there before. Hopefully the walk isn't to far from the main gate.

You'll have to tell us what you think! I really want to have a day at Universal and my hubby says no. We went last year and he wasn't impressed. I wasn't really either, however I think it would be cool to see both Harry Potter world areas this year (going to Universal Orlando in Oct). They were still building the US Hollywood one when I was there and it was cool to see the tops of the buildings all done up.

I've been to WWoHP in Orlando 3 times and can't wait for our day at WWoHP Hollywood. It's fantastic in Orlando and everything I've seen so far implies that this area is just as themed at the Orlando area. I'm not sure what I'm expecting from the rest of the park but I'm willing to pay the $105 just for the WWoHP area to say I've done both (I'll be about a day shy of doing both within a year which guts me slightly, lol).

That's exactly want I want to do! I want to be able to say that I went to both parks in one year. Hubby is really against going though. He loves HP as much as I do, but he would rather not cut a Disney day, and now that we've purchased our flight tickets it's too late to add another day onto our trip. I've still got time to wear him down though!

We're going to Universal on this trip as well but we are not HP fans, so we're hoping everyone will be on those rides/attractions, leaving the rest of universal quieter for us

Going the 25th thru the 28th. Very short and sweet trip but we try to get at least once a year and haven't been since last June. Weren't going to go this year but we have some airline credits and usually NEVER take the kids out of school so close to school starting but our credits were going to expire in Sept etc. So we are flying out Thurs evening and going to the parks Fri, Sat and Sun and coming home Sun night. We are staying at the Desert Inn as it is a cheapy short trip. We are doing a big 2 week NON-Disney trip in June so this is just a little short trip thrown in. Still can't wait though!!

I've read lots of good things about Tropicana and I'm staying there for the first time just over a week after you I'm very sure it will all be fine! Enjoy your first trip - there's really nothing like it.

Throwing my two cents in on the Tropicana. We are staying there for the second time on this trip. It's not fancy, but the rooms were kept clean and the location cannot be beat. On our last trip we headed back many afternoons and we didn't waste any time because we were so close. Pool was nice enough and if you get a balcony room you can see fireworks from it. I think if your concern is location you'll be very happy.

Just last week I thought 'I need a DL trip, it's been 3 years and we need a b-day trip for DS' 14 hours later the trip was booked. Staying offsite (a first for me)
July 29 - Aug 4. Just DS and I since DH can't make it. DS will turn 18 while we are there.
We're also going to an Angels game the day we arrive....DS' team is the Red Sox, who coincidentally are in town.

Hey guys! Another DL newbie here! I've been to WDW a few times, but this year, my husband and I are taking a roadtrip around California as part of our honeymoon!
We're visiting DL 23rd to 27th August (and we are doing Universal, but much earlier on in the trip)... lots of planning to do. Just been reading up on World of Colour - do we do dessert party, dinising package, do we just wait, or get a fastpass?? Help! Haha!
