Welcome! If you have a package, I would expect Mickey Mail this week! I got mine yesterday and we check in on the 25th. (Actually the 22nd, but we have a room only res for three days.)



We're doing the same thing. Checking in on the 22nd with a room only res before our package starts on 25th. I didn't get our ME tags in the package, did you? Maybe I should give it a couple more days before I call.

I was disappointed too about needing to have an American address to send it to but this is a good idea. How exactly does that work?

From wherever you are ordering, find out what their normal shipping time is (for argument's sake, let's say 5-7 business days). About 10-14 days from your arrival date (enough time to allow for the order to be processed, shipped and delivered in advance of your arrival), place your order and use your name as the receiver and the name of the resort & their address as the shipping address. If possible, put your reservation number for your hotel next to your name. If there is an area on the order in the shipping section for special instructions, add in something like "please hold for guest arriving on August __, 2012". Then when you check in, ask if they are holding a parcel for you.

Most of the Disney resorts are pretty good, from what I have read, about accepting and holding packages for guests who have not yet checked in. If you are thinking of sending the package to your park and fly hotel and want to be sure they are okay with it, just call them to see if they will accept a package on your behalf.

We have done this multiple times and its awesome!!! Saves us a ton on shipping (as often an order of a certain size will quality for free shipping within the USA), and helps circumvent the issue of companies who won't deliver to Canada.

Thanks for your tip... may look into this Just worried about sizes. Do the tevas fit appropriately (ie) I am a 9 would it be a 9) and are they wide or narrow? I have pretty wide feet.

I realized I forgot to reply to this! I am trying to lose weight too. Not so much for Disney but for next IVF (fertility drugs made me gain 20+ lbs). I tried Atkins for about 4 weeks and I lost 5 lbs easily but then I was stuck and I got frustrated and switched to calorie counting (my usual) and I'm now down nearly 8 lbs in a total of 6 weeks. I am hoping I can get a few more off before Disney and then all that walking offsets the horrible eating I will be doing. I am also exercising a little but not enough bc I've been having back issues. I am going to a chiropractor and trying to get things 'striaghtened out' before Disney.

I'm staying at AKL too!!

I'm trying to lose weight, but not for Disney. 3 years ago I lost 25lbs and with the year I have had, I have gained it all back. I use weight watchers and love it. Right now, I'm doing a 30 day Les Mills Pump Cross Training rotation.

Wish me luck, friends! I am off to take the math placement exam, as I am returning to school (after 11 years) this fall. I was all panicked thinking I need to ace this test so I can get into a prerequisite math class that I need so I can move on to the science courses (that are also prerequisites for my major and plan for grad school!). But as I was cramming I realized that some of this stuff I just don't get! Since I never really had the opportunity to learn it when I was younger, than it isn't such a terrible thing if I have to start out in a basic class. I would like to actually understand what I'm doing!

So here goes! And then back to reading these boards obsessively.

I have never purchased them, myself......but hopefully someone else will chime in with some sizing info.

I just got my first pair and I think they run a little small. I'm a 9 and ordered a 9 and they just fit. Its the length of them that's an issue. I have pretty wide feet also and they don't feel tight but my foot reaches the very back. I'm thinking about exchanging them for the next size.

I think they run small and narrow. I wear a 7.5 regular and an 8 JUST fit width and length wise and my foot had to really be pushed up in there. I did not think it was comfortable at all and was afraid of twisting my ankle. They didn't have a 9 for me to try on or I would have. I am afraid a 9 might be too big.

I've been going back and forth about the Tevas all day... are they really that great? I have a pair of Reefs that I LOVE. I've had them for over 10 years and they're just now starting to really get frayed. I worry that they're not going to make it much longer. They've even been through a puppy chewing on them (they only have some punctures to show for it! ).

We're staying at CSR 8/15-8/24 then we're moving to ASMu for an extra night we just added on!!

I ended up having to cancel my Chef Mickey's ADR on 8/24. I was okay with having a breakfast the last day but I don't want it to cut into a full park day! That would be CRAZY!!

We did schedule a breakfast on our new last day - 8/25 - but are going to Ohana at 8:35 AM. We've never been and are so excited! Not really Lilo and Stitch fans but we're all about Mickey and I think the atmosphere is AWESOME! I didn't add a day to our park tickets so we'll probably hang out at Poly for a bit and maybe hit up DTD!

We also added an ADR on 8/16: Kona Cafe at 8:35 PM. We're going to just do desert and coffee and then head over to watch the fireworks show from the beach!

I just noticed that the changes/additions to my ADRs aren't on the list... everything else is correct! I'm reposting so you don't have to dig back through the thread!! Thanks for all of your hard work!

I just had that resort reservation changing urge again. I've been fine for weeks and all of a sudden was overtaken with thoughts like "the cabins are too isolated, I want to be in the action" and "If we don't rent a golf cart we'll be miserable, I could go to a value cheaper"..

This is how it starts people. I am giving you a rare glimpse into the mind of a compulsive resort changer

We'll be there August 15-24... we're checking out to move to ASMu the day you check in! I guess we'll get it warmed up for you! I've never been to Coronado and never stayed any place other than Pop so I'm VERY excited!! We're definitely spending some time at the pool.

Aww, too bad we will miss running into each other! We usually stay at Pop, and the kids are bummed we are not going to be there this time. They love it so much. We've never stayed at ASM, I hope you enjoy it!
