**Official August 2011** Post your dates and resort!

Staying at All Star Sports on August 14-18. I can't wait to get down there :cool1:

For our Ninth Trip to WDW we are staying at:

The Beach Club Aug 16-21 !!!

9 of us!!!

We will be at the WL August 6-13 with free dining ! First time at WL and sooo looking forward to it.

August 7-10 Grand Floridian and over to US for a few, then back to WDW August 14-21 at OKW

I am planning a surprise trip for my two sons (15 and 18) August 24-30 and we will be trying out the new queen beds at POFQ! Since they are both 6 feet 2 inches tall, having queen beds instead of doubles will be heaven for them, lol.

My oldest son, Hayden, is graduating from high school June 10 here in Oregon and he has to start a mandatory 7 week summer program at the University of Wisconsin, Madison on June 14!!

WDW has been "our" place every year as a family since 2000 but we haven't been as a family since 2009. I was heartbroken when I realized he would be leaving just 4 days after graduation...no time for a trip or celebration:sad1:.

So, my boys think that we are flying to Wisconsin in the end of August to move Hayden onto campus and into his dorm. That is part of the plan but we will take a slight detour to Orlando for 7 days, 6 nights before heading to Wisconsin.

I am NOT telling them about the side trip to WDW. It should be fun to see if either one of them pays any attention to where our flight is going!! :rolleyes1

This is also our first time at POFQ and I am so excited. Our last few trips have been at the value resorts.

Port Orleans French Quarter here we come, again.:cool1:

My husband and son were thrilled to learn of our surprise trip to Disney - shocked actually. I am so happy I was able to keep it a secret until Christmas. I had a big box with both their names on it with a series of numbered and wrapped gifts. The first was for both and it was Disney Pictureka. Then they each had their own gifts to open...Hubby got the MouseJunkies book and my son has been wanting The Idiots Guide to Walt Disney World (I think he liked the name). Then they each had a picture that I drew to open with all the vacation info on it - Hubby got Mickey and my son had Donald. I was so happy with how Mickey came out, but could not seem to get Donald's bill right. Then finally maps and the vacation DVD. They were both so happy they both started crying. I so wish I had thought to get the video camera out. It was great....so much better than just telling him.

August 21st - 27th....POFQ (week of my hubby's 40th birthday)

Amy

Finally made the decision about park hopping and made the call. We are now staying 8/21 - 8/27 at POFQ with free dining and <gulp> no PH's. We really needed the extra day to celebrate DH's 40th birthday. So excited because they still have no idea. I can not wait for Christmas morning. I have 2 poems ready for hubby and son to open and ordered the maps and DVD to include in the package. They are going to be so excited.

We are so excited!!

Just booked a super secret trip for us August 21st - 26th at PORFQ. A birthday celebration for my husband and I. My husband turns 40 that week and I have my birthday two weeks later. My son is obsessed so he will be overjoyed to go again. This is our first stay in something other than a Value Resort so they are going to be psyched. Trying to decide if I should plan something to tell them at Christmas or wait until the beginning of summer.

Yay, we booked.
August 20th thru 28th split stay at the French Quarter/Yacht Club.
Can't wait :cool1:

WOW, we are all at POFQ and for overlapping dates! I'll be sure to put a DIS sign in my window. I am the short pooh shaped mom with the 2 teenage sons over 6 feet tall :rotfl:

Sounds like a great surprise! I think my teenage DDs would have a fit if I tried to surprise them. I would never pack the right "stuff", I'm sure.:rotfl2:

We will be leaving on the 26th after 10 days in the family suites at ASMu. Maybe we'll see you in a park!:thumbsup2

LOL! Hayden will have just about everything he owns with us. We are using the 300 lbs of free luggage for all of the stuff that he is taking to college when we leave WDW and Jensen and I are cramming our stuff into carry-on's.

PROBLEM: DME luggage tags :scared1:!! It popped in my head last night. How will I get the luggage tags on the 6 suitcases without them noticing? They both have to be present at the airline counter and after the bags are weighed we have to roll them to the screening booth which I certainly can't do alone :confused3. I'm thinking the surprise will come to an end at the airport :sad2:.

Yay, I finally get to jump in on the official August thread!

We weren't sure if we'd be able to go this year but on Friday we just booked 4 nights at ASMu for the 21-25! This will be our 5th year in a row!!! Woooo!!!! :cool1:

And the nice thing about booking now is we're already in the double digits! :rotfl:
