Hi! New member here. We just planned and booked last week. We are going august 1-7. First family vacation. Staying at the Wilderness Lodge. We are keeping it a surprise for our DD's until the day we go. I am super excited.

I have an Illuminations cruise booked on Tues 8/23.
It leaves from the Yacht Club around 7:45 and will cruise over to Epcot for Illuminations at 9pm.
So far, it will be me, DD 12, another Dis mom with 2 kids, DD8 and DS 12. We are looking for 5 more people to share the cost. It will be $40 per person if we have 10 people and this includes bagged snacks and soda, and tip.

Hi, I noticed you were from MA, so probably flying out of Boston?
We were supposed to be leaving on 8/21...too expensive so I added an extra night and we are leaving 8/20. Got a $67 one way on the way down, on Southwest and then 3 weeks later booked a $129 return flight on Delta. Couldn't get a good price on nonstop, so had to take both flights with stops and changing planes, but it was much less expensive. I checked kayak.com everyday until I found something I was ok with. Also, would you consider Worcester to Sanford? $99 each way, but you'd have to rent a car. Good luck!!!

WOW, thanks for the tips! We did check 8/20, as we did the same thing our last trip, it was cheaper to book an extra night at the hotel then pay for 5 of us to fly, havent' had any luck there. I will check your suggestions and kayak.com, never have tried them before! I so hope we get to go!! We're trying to surprise our boys!!!

6 - 13 of August POR for my second trip to Disney but FIRST time staying on the grounds!

I have only been to Magic Kingdom, for a day! But this year my aunt and uncle offered to take me with them and their kids. They haven't been to Disney in two years and are looking forward to renewing memories. I am excited to MAKE some new ones!

I'm not even sure if the moderators will allow my post here because my thread in the DVC section seems to have disapeared. I had been following an ebay seller for over a year before I finally took the plunge and purchased with him. We are booked for AKL and I have a reservation. I told him that I would contact him after the Christmas holidays to book the dining plan. I called him three weeks ago on his cell phone and left a message. No return call. Sent an email with no response. Something started to feel funny so I checked out his auctions etc. He was starting to receive negative feedbacks after being in business now on ebay since 2007! Many of his customers are in touch with one another now and no one has spoke with him since Jan 16th. His January auctions were paid for but no reservations were made. Paypal is refunding because he is not making contact. I decided to try and get my money back and make another reservation for the same week. Ebay tells me that I am beyond the 45 day period. Only solution for me is to file a dispute with my credit card. Paypal has received the claim and now I have to wait 11 days for his response. There are now many many negatives on this seller. He also maintains a website and we've tried to contact him that way with no response. Contacted the police dept in the city where his business is listed and he gave a phony address. Today the Wilton Manor's police dept in Florida contacted me to let me know that he drove to the address that we had listed as his home address on the Disney reservation. He no longer lives there but moved two blocks away. His car is parked in front of the apartment. The officer now has to turn this over to the Ft Lauderdale dept since it is out of his jurisdiction. This whole story seems like a Dateline story for us right now. I still have this feeling that the seller didn't intentionally fraud anyone and that something is seriously wrong with him. I still have a reservation wtih Disney if I call them to confirm. I know he can remove it up to the day before we arrive though.

I'm planning to book a back up now just in case.

Can someone refresh my memory about the cancellation policy for regular room purchases? Is it 30 days with no penalties?

We're in the same boat as you are with a purchase from the same seller. Please let me know what you find out.
