Just FYI to all of us August-ers, on Monday, Jet Blue will be releasing fares up until September 2011! Woo hoo! Probably won't book now, but at least I'll be able to start comparing!

Nice. Those JetBlue fares aren't bad (from $100 to $150 each way per person from Bos to MCO). This year on July 20th they issued even cheaper fares for Aug, so that the best price went from $100 to $80 each way before taxes 'n fees. I wonder if I have the stomach to play chicken with airfares up to a month before my vacation.

Thinking of getting rid of park hoppers to add another day onto our trip. I haven't made the call yet, but will most likely as soon as I convince myself that we do not need park hoppers.

I vote for add the extra day and drop the hopper (i've only had hoppers once) found we don't really need/use it...

If you don't mind me asking...what is the Dolphin teacher discount? I have heard they had one, but don't know any of the details. I am a teacher also, and am just curious.

You need to provide a teacher ID or pay stub when you check in (although accounts seem to differ on them actually checking ). All I had to do at the time of booking was mention that I am a teacher. The discount was about as good or a little better than the AAA discount I could have received for the Swan/Dolphin when I called to check yesterday - same for the Swan, $10 more off for the Dolphin (hence our booking there). Not including taxes/fees, it took the rate down from about $210/night rack rate on the Swan/ to $159/night for the dates we're traveling - pretty significant since the rest is not a Disney one. I'm sure the discount varies by time of year, though.

So now it seems more real. I booked our flight from Newark to Orlando. $158 round trip. I don't think it'll get much better tan that. Plus there is 2 adults 5 kids and I want to be sure we all sit together. I am so excited, somewhat obsessed

I have never stayed there. But I hear it's a great deal only need to bring your work ID/paystub to checkin

Sorry bout that. I booked Continental. Got a much better deal than JetBlue, I was a little surprised.

We're driving down and staying at the BV suites for 2 nights and doing the water parks, then heading to POR for FREE DELUXE DINING!!
We are going to try and surprise the kids, but mainly it's a secret from the rest of the family so we can have our first "family" vacation without others inviting themselves along on our vacation
Don't get me wrong, we've had some great times with the extended family, but after planning our last trip, with ADRs for 7, 8 and then 10pp
we need some time at WDW for just the 5 of us

Is sooooooo excited! I just booked POP for August 22-29th! I could not resist free dining and free airline tickets! (MIL is retired from American airlines and just told me she would give us 4 vouchers!)

Finally made the decision about park hopping and made the call. We are now staying 8/21 - 8/27 at POFQ with free dining and <gulp> no PH's. We really needed the extra day to celebrate DH's 40th birthday. So excited because they still have no idea. I can not wait for Christmas morning. I have 2 poems ready for hubby and son to open and ordered the maps and DVD to include in the package. They are going to be so excited.

Originally I was going to keep the trip a XMas surprise, now I think its better to wait until the day we leave However, I am soooooooo excited, I've been on this site everyday. 9 more months, anyone else obsessed like me? I look at pics and reviews of WL hoping it'll be perfect. We were going to stay at the Poly, but we are now 6 and an infant. I think my little ones will love WL. Also doing deluxe dining so another planning obsession......Did I mention I am excited!!!!!!!!

Count us in! We will be at ASMu in a family suite from Aug. 17 - 26. Never stayed there before but we will have 6 people with us this time so... here we go! Looking forward to see if there will be any other dissers there with us!

I would be VERY surprised if I keep it from DH all the way until summer, I am way too excited!
