We booked last week for the 18th - 26th August for Animal Kingdom Lodge, yay for free dining!! I didn't think we would be visiting this year (we are planning on Christmas 2010 so thought that would be our next trip.) I'm so excited that I will have visited Disneyland, Disneyland Paris (x2) and WDW all in the space of 12 months!! So once again we will be celebrating our wedding anniversary with the mouse!

We were going to go in Jan 2010, but free dining is too much to pass up!

Here's hoping for free dining in Jan too!

We're checkin' in at SSR on 7/31 and leaving on 8/7. I can't wait for July/August!!!


disszilagyi: We usually go the last 10 days of August, and I find that once FD starts, the crowds descend. With FD starting earlier this year, the crowds will be pretty thick, but not unmanageable. Just remember... get there early!

For anyone who has been in early August before... How busy is it exactly? How long are the wait times? Is it horrific like Spring Break wait times of 100-250 minutes?! Or down around 45-90?

We were there last year, Aug 8-13.

The only time we waited more than 20 minutes was for TSM. It was the day I stupidly chose to do laundry and got us to the park at 12:30 pm.

Beyond that, it wasn't a problem.

I have never been in late Aug. Am I gonna die? I am only doing this so I can go with my GF from Ontario. Is it going to be packed?
