So I think I've settled on a date: 8/23 - 8/30. We are planning to stay offsite at Windsor Hills for the comfort of staying in a home. Also to make sure to keep my husband sane!! LOL!! I wasn't sure about staying offsite until I read rave reviews on these boards. This will be our first trip so we are not going to do hoppers. I will keep you all posted as the plans come together.

I loved the idea of make spreadsheets to map out the days...can some one send me an example of how theirs look. I just want somewhere to start.I am TOO excited...this is the first trip but I am sure it won't be the last.

You have a few options.

You can get to the parks early and leave around noon/1pm - stay at the resort/pool relaxing, etc. and head back out late afternoon 5pm on.

Take your time in the morning and hang out by the pool. Stay in resort, freshen-up and head out 3/4 pm - or later.

Water park during the day - resort early/mid afternoon and head back out to park (or if you don't want to use a hopper), have dinner at a resort or spend the evening at DTD.

Don't forget - lot's of water, hat, sunscreen, ponchos. I bring a thin long sleeve shirt so when I want to get away from the heat - I don't freeze in a restaurant or long ride to cool off.

You will surely be standing and dripping, lol - Enjoy!

Okay, so I was looking for airfare tickets for the time that we will be travelling. When I looked on Tuesday the cheapest that I found was $1001(for 4 people). I was a little discouraged, so I was thinking that we would just drive. Coming from VA it would be a 14 hr drive, which will eat up one day of vacation. So I hopped online again yesterday and found that Airtran is running a special until 2/10/09...the tickets were $676 rt for all four of us!!!!! Needless to say I got right on the phone with DH to see if we could book. Couldn't do it today, but we will do it before the 10th. Just have to wait for tax return. Thats a savings of $375!!!
