Just found this thread! We are going August 12-18 as a Magical Gatherings!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited...any ideas on how to make the time pass? Also how to keep a 4 year old and an 18 month old happy in sweltiering heat and humidity?

It is official!!!

I just booked my trip for August 13 through the 23rd.

Pop Century Preferred Location. All parks included (water parks) too. Flying from Newark Airport on Continental and getting on ME. This will also be the first time I am doing the meal plan.

If they do offer it for free, I will get reimbursed, but the price seems worth it too me.

Can you tell I'm excited.

Hi Neighbor! We are from Northern New Jersey, Morris County to be exact! We will also be at the Pop! We will be there Aug. 15-24. We are also flying Newark-Liberty on Continental, and our first time on the meal plan! Maybe our paths will cross! I usually put a Lime Green Mickey Head on my backpack with my DIS boards name on it! Don't be afraid to say hi!!

We will be there too. We will arrive on August 16th and depart Aug. 24th. Staying at SSR. We were just at WDW in Jan. We LOVE IT. Can't wait but I am worried about going in the summer. We usually go in Nov/Jan. This will be new for us.

Ok, hope this doesn't sound to crazy, but I am worried that something will go wrong and we won't get to go to Disney in August. Disney is all I think about and now that I found the DIS I spend a lot of time reading and studying..

Does anyone else worry..

I get those same kinds of thoughts every year, before any vacation. But the older I get the less I worry about it. As someone else pointed out - even if something did happen and I wasn't able to go in August, WDW will still be there and I'll go another time! However....I'm very much looking forward to the trip and so are my DGDs! We talk a lot of the trip and just this week was our 180 mark and we called and got all of our ADRs! This will be the first time the girls are going to HDDR.

We will be at POFQ August 12th-19th for our Disney Honeymoon

We will be going Aug. 19-25th staying at POR. There will be me (30) Disney Lover. DH (34) - his first trip and I had to bribe him with a fishing trip and boat rentals. Hates heat and theme parks but loves his wife very much. DS(6) has been to Disney once when he was 4. Last time I had to bribe him to go to the parks because all he wanted to do was swim in the pool. New DS (8) and DD (3). We are in the process of adopting DS (8) and DD (3). We adopted DS (6) when he was 2.

This will be our first family vacation and I cannot wait!

ASMU 8/14 to 8/25

First trip for DN's ages 13 and 15. They are sooooo excited. The 13 yr old has wished for this trip for years and when told on her birthday last week her eyes got big and a huge smile and say's "my life is awesome, dreams do come true". That was worth it right there. Doing the DDP also and made ADR's for 8 character meals They will be in heaven, and Auntie will have tons of pic's to Scrapbook.
