Official AUG 21st Southwest Price Report Thread!

 $568 from Albany, NY to Orlando: Fri, Feb. 13-Sun., Feb. 22. It sure is expensive to travel during school vacations! :) This is still well over $100 dollars cheaper than any other airline at this time out of Albany. The flight times are also much better!

I know everyone will tell me that Airtran will change my flight time a million times, but after looking at the Southwest fares today, I just couldn't book with them. Southwest was $287 down and $287 back per person. Airtran was $139 down and $114 back per person. When you add it up for our family, the difference in the total was staggering. I'll find a way to deal with the time changes for the price. We did buy trip insurance for $14 just in case.

I am connecting through Kansas! Never been there before and now I can say I have been. LOL

Be aware that you may have to leave security and then go back through the security screening to get from one gate to another. This has caused problems twice for family members of mine travelling to/from Tulsa with connecting flights at MCI. So, I don't know if this would affect all SW flights, or just certain ones.

With the Superbowl playing on Feb 1 and Daytona 500 on Feb 17........I can only imagine rates to go up and not down. But am keeping my fingers crossed.

Got $212 pp roundtrip from New Orleans to Orlando with Southwest Jan. 11- 16!!!! woot woot!:cool1:

I had all free rapid reward/companion flights but within seconds of the opening there were no standard awards from Providence to MCO for 2/14 - 2/21. I got stuck with RT PVD to Fort Lauderdale for 2/16 - 2/23. I guess I shouldn't complain as they are free but we'll have to drive the 3 hours to Orlando and our kids will miss one day of school on the back end.

It was a very stressful morning trying to figure Providence, Hardtford, and Manchester along with Orlando, Tampa, West Palm, Jacksonville, and Fort Lauderdale combinations:sick:

I just hope April vacation won't be as bad -- we have more free tix and we're going again!

I paid $159 ea for three tickets MDW-MCO on Feb 8. Total was $505 and change. I'll be surprised if I don't get either a Ding! or a price drop. I hate to pay this much but we've already booked CSR and we need to be there theweel following for the Florida State Fair.

I got $129. (plus a few) each way for January. Not too bad and hoping for some dings. I didn't think twice cuz we never want to go to LGA or JFK again. That drive is just not fun. :sad2:

Ours went down from $79 each way to $69 PHL to MCO, I got a $40 credit. Now if I just knew how to use the credit later...I'm sure I'll figure it out.
