I still think Reid, and Chris gets his heart.

The show has been really good lately...I will be sooooooooo pissed if Reid dies....why would they feel the need to do that. Maybe it is not Reid that is dying...maybe it is Noah

They say that the family comes together for a family crisis....Noah would be the perfect one to die...well you know what i mean

Why would Reid do something to be heroic and have it seal his fate....does he risk his life to save another maybe

Maybe his fate is referring to his job.....doing something heroic to help Chris that will loose him his chief of staff position.

It does say however that Luke leans on Noah in his time of need.....

Should they not just end this soap on all happy notes for all of us....

Another idea.....Damian is suppose to be coming back into the picture...what if it is Damian that is killed hence what Holden has to do....and of course Luke would be very upset and who to understand better than Reid would be Noah.....Also this would give a heart to Chris.

Damian would be the best one out of all to die and after all who would really care as far as the viewers see it.

The show ends on Sept. 17. I don't like Reid, so I don't care if he dies. I've never liked Damien, so if he's the one, that's fine. I also don't like Gabriel, or the actor who plays him, but it would be cruel for Craig to lose another son. And even though Janet and Blackie are married in real life, I don't see ANY chemistry between them at all. So maybe it's him or Uncle Ralphie.

I didnt know that they were married in real life.....they seem so un matched. Are Holden and emily still married in real life?

Its getting close to the end...the writers have been doing a great job..sure wish the Y&TR would get better...that is going down hill fast.

I don't think real life chemistry matches up to on screen chemistry. Look at JT and Victoria on Y&R.

Holden and Emily are still married, with several kids.

I can't stand any scenes with Janet. Sorry. If she had been made a background character, it would have been different, but for the last year of a show I've watched my entire life to revolve around Janet and her family is too much to take.

The show with Dusty doing the karate kick and Jack shooting the gun out of Blackie's hands was so cheesy. Instead of being emotional, it just made me laugh. What was the point in making Lucinda and Ralph a past item? And I was liking Lily and Craig. That show ended with me wondering if the writers even know the show's history.

But I loved Friday's show! It really seemed like a goodbye show to me. I cried through much of it. Love Barbara and Henry, the references to Hal and Jennifer, seeing James one last time, Emily and Barbara making peace (and including Gwen), and John coming home!

stupid....Reid gets hit by a train....are they serious They had a heart for Chris so why do this. Stupid story line. Why are they not ending the show with all positive stuff so we leave wit a smile...

and where the heck is Meg and why are they dont having her and Paul and Emily making peace with the fact that the baby is best in the care with them but show that Emily tells meg that she is not Aliza's mom and can never take her place and she is sorry for trying to...and they all become friends in the interest of the child...

And will they have Janet and dusty getting married? I figures that when they said that Rosanna was going to be back on that they would hook her back up with Craig and he will tell her that he finally realized that he has always been trying to fill the void of her....and that it never worked because it was not with her...yada yada yada


I like John back with Lucinda.....they were always a great couple.

But killing off Reid, for me anyway, puts a big damper on the ending of the story.

Yes, Holden and Emily are still married in real life. I saw her in a commercial that aired during my soap time (12:30-3:00), but I don't remember what she was "selling".

Luke tells the Hughes family that Reid went to go and retrieve the heart for Chris from Bay City

Tom and Margo are called to an accident scene and discover Reid is the victim

Luke and the Hughes family are devastated to learn of the accident

It's quickly discovered that Reid's condition is grave and it is unlikely he will survive

Luke refuses to accept that Reid is going to die and is determined to fight to keep him alive

Reid accepts his fate and wants his heart to be tested as a possible match for Chris This really pisses me off! The writers have royally screwed up my show!

Reid turns his power of attorney over to Luke

Luke is forced to face that Reid is going to die and says his final goodbyes

Reid tells Luke he loves him and they share a last kiss before Reid passes away

Chris is proven to be match for Reid's heart and a transplant is performed

Luke and Katie support each other while they wait for word on Chris' operation

I think that that was a big mistake, killing off Reid....Why not let it end with Luke finding true love. That really sucked.

Lucinda leaving with John...hmmmmm....cant see Lucinda leaving her company for anyone.

Who cares if Holden and Lily get back together....I dont. Use to love them together but to much has happened in my book.

I have been enjoying the show a lot until this train wreck...cant for the life of me figure why they did that

one more week I am 52 and have been watching this show since I was 20......I remember when i was younger and my mom watched it all the time. This and the Days of our lives.

My dad however was a big Y&TR watcher...he never missed a show after retirement.

I'm 37, and have watched it all my life. We would work in the garden in the morning, in the summers, then come in and shell or whatever needed to be done in front of the tv at my grandparents' house or our house (next door). We watched all the CBS soaps.

Friday ATWT was pre-empted by the tennis opens - which I believe will run all this week as well.. The final 5 episodes of ATWT..

Someone PLEASE tell me the network is going to work around this???????

I checked the listings on our guide on our cable TV, and it has the show listed as showing all this week. I was bummed on Friday too - so let's hope!

I have to tell you all (and thank you for listening) that is an especially hard pill to swallow for me. My Mom is ill/house bound/ in bad shape (dementia possible depression, and a host of other issues), and this is the ONLY thing she will do during the day besides eat and "rest". I remember as a child when she was caring for her own mother (my grandmother) and she would tell me that the show was a comfort to my grandmother because it was like family to her. She had known these people most of her life.

I never would have guessed then that this same "link to the familiar" would become the biggest part of her day. I truly don't know what we will do as this is the only show she will watch, and basically the only time of the day she is out of bed and shows a bit of interest in something.

And I have also grown up with this show. There have been years at a time when I haven't watched, but it doesn't take long to catch up. It is just a shame to me.

I understand, and I'm so sorry.

I've been crying a lot, and I've been mad a lot. The writers have ruined the show in so many ways. Bringing in and focusing on people like Janet and her family, especially at the end, is unforgivable. The stupid mobster storylines weren't liked by anyone I know. I'm also bitter that we didn't see Ellen, or Andy, or so many of the characters that made this show wonderful for so long. At least we've had Kim and Bob, John, Margo and Tom, etc. on lately. And my Henry-really going to miss him. And Jack and Carly.

I have GL's final episode on DVR still, but haven't felt the urge to watch it again. I did think of the characters on July 4, about how fun the Baur BBQ always looked. I'm sure I'll save Friday's ATWT as well. I still can't believe it is almost over.

And we still have more Janet to look forward to.......
