How are you going to tell them? I haven't decided how to tell mine yet and I'm still searching for ideas.

i think i posted it a few weeks ago, but I can't find the old post to C&P.....
every saturday night is disney movie night so each week they pick a movie out of a bowl (folded scraps of paper with a movie name on each). I'm going to replace those with scraps that have one word on each: "We're" "going" "to" "disney" "world" "april" "12th". So DS will pick one and open it and IDK if he'll figure it out after the first piece, or if it will take him a couple or what; he's pretty book-smart but sometimes lacking in the common sense dept, lol. So I have NO clue how it will go. I have to somehow secretly videotape it as well. :confused3

Let me know if u need scavenger hunt clues. I made up a ton of really great ones, and we ended it by switching out our countdown calendars bc we had told them we were leaving a month later than we actually were in September 2012. Obviously the ending would be a little different, but my clues could be altered if need be. It was so fun, and we have great video from it.

We're surprising with a scavenger hunt for a 5 year old... I'd love to hear your clues!

The Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party is now OPEN for APRIL! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Cost is as follows (tax included)

Adults: $25.55
Children: (3-9) $13.84

Thanks for posting this! I have never thought about doing this bc I have a family of 7, and the cost adds up. I looked into it for hubby and I since it is just us this trip, and thought we would try it out and maybe book it in 2014 for the whole family if we love it. I am sure we will. It looks amazing! So...we are booked for it and I am excited!

Op, when I get home I will get you all my ADR's bc we finally got them all finalized!!!

we are at 38 days and counting. We drive from Maine every year. Is it just me, I can almost not stand the wait!! I have read everything I possibly can, and now its just a waiting game. I do have a question, and hope I am posting this in the right place :) how scary is Tower of Terror? i think this will be my year of overcoming the rides that scare me, and that is one of them!

I don't think ToT is "scary" as far as spooky/creepy, but if you don't like the big drop, that could be scary.

i have walked through it, so that doesnt bother me, i guess its the drop that makes me nervous. i have ridden splash mountain, test track, and rockin roller coaster (1x) and they didnt bother me. also going to try space and everest this year too! :scared1:

Looking forward to this spring's trip. We took our first Disney cruise this past December and were in heaven. I couldn't understand why there were no towel animals waiting for us on the bed when we got home. Poor hubby should have taken the class.
We will be on our way down to the Fort for a much needed rest a full week after Easter. Seems funny to say that about Disney. I get a lot of stange looks when I tell people we love it in the fall and spring. They think we are nuts to fight the crowds. Honestly, we aren't bothered by them these days. We have been so many times we just see the things we love the most and take it easy the rest of the time. We find the worst business is the drive down with so many people having fender benders, then everyone rubber necking to see what the fuss was all about.

The Tower of Terror is my favorite ride anywhere. Perfect theming combined with a great ride!!! :thumbsup2

Some of these might be a bit too mature for a 5 year old, so you might have to tweak them, but they are a good starting point. I got some pieces from a website, so they aren't all original, but I altered the snot out of them. I laminated each clue and attached a letter to each for them to unscramble. The letters said: Go to the dining room

1. Shower: It’s dry outside, but it’s raining in here. Don’t wear your poncho, cause that would be queer.

2. Light in bedroom: God created this and saw that it was good. You don’t like to put me out, even though you should.

3. Shoes: For use outside, but not really indoors. You won’t fit in mine, so only wear yours.

4. Mirror: Look at me and I will look back at you. When I look at you, you look at me too.

5. Washer: When I got here I was dirty, but now I’m all clean. My head is spinning from the place I have been.

6. Harry Potter Book: You’ll find clue #7 hasn’t gone far. He is visiting a boy that has a strange scar.

7. Potatoes in closet: Although I have eyes, still I can’t see. If you are hungry, please don’t eat me.

8. Carpet: Static Electricity produces shocks, when you walk on me whilst wearing your socks.

9. Computer: I am smarter than you, or so I have heard. But when I get sick, I’m not worth a turd.

10. This one is a bit strange but it was meant to gross out my teenagers, and it worked! Master bed: #11 is where the magic happens, but don’t say “EW.” First two people fell in love, and then came you.

This is where they had to go outside and my hubby was changing out the countdown calendars with the earlier dates.

11. Clothesline: Help! I’ve been hung out to dry. They didn’t give a reason. They didn’t tell me why!

12. Stairs in barn-We only have stairs in our barn b/c we live in a ranch.: Higher and higher we climb to the top, but sooner or later, we both have to stop.

13. Lawnmower: I’ll cut you down if you stand tall. It won’t bother me none, no not at all.

14. Shovel: Over and over you slam me in the dirt, but don’t worry for me, cause it doesn’t hurt.

15. Swings: I’ll take you high, I’ll take you low. We can go fast, or we can go slow. Go too high and you’ll feel a bump. It will be fine, just please don’t jump!

16. Fence lock: I keep you in and other things out, but only if you lock me, there is no doubt.

17. Bike: Round and round clue #13 goes, when he’ll stop, nobody knows. Don’t leave him out when the rain comes down, cuz if you do, he will turn brown!

18. Unscramble your letters and meet me here. You won’t have to go far, for I am very near. You’ve found all your clues, so here is one more: Go to the place where you’ll find there are legs, but no feet on the floor. Something is different. Something is new. Who will figure it out? Will it be you?

So when the kids figured out the meeting place was the dining room, and we went there, I asked them: "So what is different in here?". My son responded ON VIDEO: "It's clean!" Little punk. Anyway, I have great video of them discovering the calendar changes and freaking out and crying!

Hey again! Sorry, we updated our ADR's! We decided to cut a few to free up our schedule.

4/19: Teppan Edo 7:20 PM
4/20: Sci-Fi 5:25 PM
4/22: Mama Melrose Fantasmic Dinner Pkg. 3:30 PM
4/23 KTTK tour at 8:30 AM, lunch at Columbia Harbour House
4/24: Raglan Rd. 8:30 PM
4/25: Biergarten 5:00 PM

Do you always drive? What routes do you go??
We drove last month for the first time. We 95 most of the way. We are driving again in April.
We're coming from MA

Hello, what do u need to get into the resort? My friend is staying w/me at POR but she is coming from AZ and arriving 1st. She is having a friend that lives in FLA pick her up at the airport and driving her to the hotel. Do they need anything to drive in?
Thanks.
I'm in MASS also but will be flying.

I'm not sure if I understand what you're question is.

If they're driving into the resort they would just tell the security guard that they're checking in.
