Annette Funicello passed away today at age 70. Loved her, truly an iconic Disney figure to me. :-(

hmmmm, is it possible they just don't add those details in until a couple weeks before? Because looking at the WDW site, that parade doesn't show up any time after 4/30..... I bet they only do 3 weeks out which would be up to 4/29. So check tomorrow and see if it's added in on 4/30

We had rain predicted almost everyday last week. It did rain a few days for a few hours but it was light and we were able to carry on fine with ponchos! I woke up one morning and looked at the forecast and told my DH that we were not going to the park, he opened the door and it was beautiful outside!

Bring the rain gear and enough shoes that they have a day or two to dry and you'll be fine!

This is exactly what I say. When we would go in Sept. it would be 80-90% every day, and I dont remember any trip that it rained more than a day or 2

I just sent my room request fax to POR. One week from now we will be at the airport waiting to board

DD and I went through her clothes and picked out her outfits yesterday. This morning DS tells me "all my shorts are too short!" I said, "what, they all have to be knee length?" After he left for school I looked through them all and he's probably right. Some of them are size 7 and he is just starting to wear 10's (for the length - everything falls off his skinny butt ). Now the tough part will be getting him to try them all on this afternoon.... I may have a trip to Kmart to add to my list.

I teach preschool (3yr olds) and every last one of them has some goo coming out of their noses. Crossing my fingers it is mostly allergies, but I can't tell you how much hand sanitizer I used this morning!

Sorry to all those having back problems. I hope you are better by your trip. I have a good tip for a great heating pad. We take an old sock, fill it with barley (just pick up a bag at the grocery store) and sew it shut. Microwave for about 2 minutes, shake it around and awesome reusable heating pad that won't explode blue goo into your microwave.

Just called and asked another rep, she too found it strange so she checked with someone else to see if there were any special events but found out that there were none listed. So she said to keep checking back because maybe it hasnt been posted yet but it is very odd. Oh well, I guess I'll keep checking!

I called and the CM on the phone added mine to my reservation. I had read somewhere that faxing was better, but then another site said that calling was just as good, so I don't know. But I don't have a fax machine anyway.

No - but according to those in the know over on the POR thread, you might have a better chance of getting your requests met and you can be much more specific than you can on the website. I don't think that it applies to other resorts, I remember someone saying POR is one of the few that still look at faxed requests. More info:

I used the free online fax also, and just got my confirmation. They report VERY good results over on the POR board when you fax. I also called and added my requests. If you call the POR phone number on your mickey mail (i know its not the actual resort- but they answer that way), they can add your requests as long as you are 10 days or sooner from arrival.

Oh thanks! Good to know for future reference - we've had to fax stuff at FedEx before and it's a pain.

Anyone know why on April 30th, so much stuff will be missing from Magic Kingdom?? So pissed because we re-arranged our trip to add a day for my daughter and now our MK day (which we always save the best for last) has no jammin in the street parade, no stage show, no nightime parade, and only Mickey and Princess meet and greets!! And its closing at 9pm as opposed to later times the rest of the week!

Huh. I'll be curious what you find out, because we'll be there that day, too. Now, we're not planning on doing most of that anyway, but it's still good to know ...

And if you see a family with two little boys (8 and 4) and lime-green Mickey heads on a blue & green backpack, say hi!

OMG so sad. I actually used to watch her when she was a mousketeer on reruns of course. LOL. Seriously though I must have seen all her movies with Frankie Avalon....What an Icon she was....She was a beautiful woman.
