I'm taking mine out 2 1/2 days early as well...I had to in order to get a flight down! So we leave on the 10th and I'll pick them up from school at 1:30, then they miss school Thursday and Friday, but Friday is an early dismissal day anyway. I think they'll be fine...they've only missed 1 days each so far this year. From what they tell me, some kids are out once a week!

I'm still waiting for my PP+. How do I activate it? Can I do it at the CR when I'm checking in, or do I have to wait until I go to the park? I hate wasting precious park time on that, I'd much rather be all set to go once we get there!

Yes, that's why my 5th graders principal told me...some are out all the time, so I don't feel too bad. I booked an 8am flight on Wednesday and come home the Tuesday of vacation in the evening. It saved me over $600 to push it back to mid week, so I jumped on that.

I was wondering about the PP+ activation, too. I'm going to read it as soon as I get home to see it and will post what it says. We have dinner reservations and can't check into the AofA resort until 3, so every second I can save before the trip helps.

Current locations where you can purchase or upgrade the [Photopass+] include:

Magic Kingdom - Exposition Hall on Main Street
Epcot - Camera Center next to Spaceship Earth
Hollywood Studios - Cover Story
Animal Kingdom - Garden Gate Gifts

Downtown Disney - Marketplace [Guest Relations building]

Deluxe Resorts - Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Beach Club, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge

So you probably wouldn't be able to do it at CR, but you could take the monorail to GF or Poly to do it.

You can check-in to any resort at any time after around 6am (when the computers roll over). Your room may not be ready at this time, but they will issue your KTTW cards and you can begin accessing the resort facilities and any dining entitlements you may have. They usually ask for a cell number, so they can text you your room number when it's ready, so you don't have to return to the desk unless there's a problem with your key.
If your room is ready, you can go to it immediately. The likelihood of this happening varies based on the occupancy of the resort the night before, how many people have already checked in, and the difficulty of your requests.

Thanks for giving us both the info! I still have to figure out what they sent me today. I think it was a DVD (stock photos?) and two vouchers. I can't really tell from DH's text message pic. Maybe one for ordering the CD and one for the actual pass? Because I've already paid, I am just validating, right? I wasn't sure if those locations were for people who outright go to buy it and/or want to upgrade from the regular PhotoPass.

I did check in online already with My Disney Experience and said I could be there as early as 1:00pm (11:30 scheduled flight arrival) and noted my cell phone, so I guess I am doing the right things.

Is is sad that I am just waiting to get my luggage tags in the mail???

Nope....I've been out to my mailbox every day like a sad little kid waiting for a birthday check from gramma waiting for my luggage tags.:rotfl2:

i'm (im)patiently waiting for my PPP and Mickey Mail as well. come on, disney, I'm down to like 36 days, what's the holdup??? :confused3

It's a sad feeling isn't it? Poor us, we haven't gotten our Mickey Mail.....someone should hold a telethon or something for us.:rotfl:

The travel agents and WDW think we are too busy with snowstorms and blizzards to be worried about Disney trips...more like total opposite! I heard about tonight's storm and immediately went to my Disney countdown to cheer up.

Ok...still a newbie with the acronyms....PPP? Mickey Mail? I'm guessing this is part of your travel reservation documents?

PhotoPass Plus and yes, vac. documents.
What part of MA are you in?
i'm completely ignoring the storm and pretending it doesn't exist.

hahaha...I should do that! I am on the south shore, Brockton area. I work in Boston though, which is where I am now watching the rain. You?

I'm just north of boston. Originally from Medford but moved about 10 miles north once married.

Not far from my husband's family. They are in Medford and he's from Somerville.

So you are doing the cruise and the park? How does that all work? I haven't done a cruise yet. Do you fly to FL to board the ship? How many in each?

That's probably right.

Yup, and if you're lucky your room will be ready.

Our flight doesn't get in until 1:30ish, so we probably won't get to our hotel until close to 3 anyways.

I really want my luggage tags too. One of the unfortunate things about booking through a travel agent is that I have to wait for her to get my stuff in the mail first before she can send it along.

Amazon finally shipped the order I put in last week though, so it should get here by Friday. It includes the air mattress I'm hoping to get DS to sleep on during our trip and the camo tie-dye kit for the shirts I'm planning on making.
I wanted to get the air mattress here early so we can accustom DS to sleeping on it before our trip. The biggest stressor I have for our trip is the sleeping arrangements. Hopefully, the whole thing will end up being a non-issue, but it takes DS some time to adjust and I don't want to be exhausted for the whole trip, because none of us are getting any sleep.

OMG I thought I was the only one stalking my poor mailman for my mickey mail:rotfl2: Dont know why it just seems so much closer when it finally arrives.

PhotoPass+ arrived in the mail today and anxiously awaiting my travel package from AAA. :yay:

I have been waiting for my photopass+ forever. I think I will call them tomorrow and double check that it was added. I called and added it after the original booking, but when we paid in full it didn't say anything on the receipt. The price difference from our original booking and the paid in full looked like they had added it though.

Has anyone with an April vacation received their Mickey Mail? You know I've been a pain about waiting when my DH had to pic message me on my cell with PhotoPass+ arrived today.

Ooooh, exactly 5 weeks from right now, I will be in our AoA Nemo Suite ot on our way to MK!! :cool1:

I received mine last month, but I think that was exceptionally early.

I'm not far from you - just up 93 another 10 miles or so :)
Guess it will be a Mass exodus to DW in April (insert groans for the horrible pun here:sad2:)
