OFFICIAL April 2012 DISers! 2 months and counting!

With only 3 days left to go, I changed our resort reservation!!! :scared1:

We were originally booked at BC 4/19-4/22. When we heard that SAB was going to be closed until 4/23, we changed to Kidani. Well the pool opened TODAY (I called & confirmed with a CM at BC) so we switched back. I couldn't believe we were able to make the change. But I'm so happy!! :cool1:

I actually made and/or changed ADRs yesterday!

For anyone checking in from WDW today that's been at Epcot can you confirm with us about the TT closure??

ummmm, 1 more day for me, think I should start packing yet? :scared1: does anyone hit a wall a couple days before the trip? I always do. I spend SO Much time/energy being super, super excited, impatient and anxious for the trip to come, then a couple days before I'm like "eh, whatever...". Although I only just booked this about a month ago, it's the same way when I book a trip a year out. :confused3

That's similar to how I'm feeling. I've done all the planning, packing will be done in the next day or so and it's just waiting, waiting, waiting. Add on to that the uncertainly around whether my wife will be able to fly with us, join us later or not be able to go at all (she's in contract negotiations and might not be able to get away) and all I'm feeling now is stress!!

Okay, now I don't feel so far behind! :lmao: I definitely hit a wall. All of January and February I was so into the planning. Then after that I kind of lost enthusiasm :confused3 Now, I'm back to the so excited stage, but cannot get myself into the packing. I always over-pack so now I've got everything laid out, and need to go through and put 2 shirts with each pair of shorts/capris and be done with it. I have about 20-25 shirts out right now for just 7 days! Way too much. And that's only for myself. DH's clothes aren't even out yet.

Aw, that stinks! I really hope your DW will be able to join you all!! :goodvibes

I am going to SCREAM!!!! My DD can now wear my clothes, and has been wearing MY FAVORITE jean capri's - well guess what I CAN'T FIND!!!!

I started REAL packing this weekend. Marked some to do stuff off my list, but still so much to get done.

Oh, and my DS 17 decided this weekend that he and his "not" girlfriend (don't ask, I don't understand either) have decided to go to Prom - the weekend I leave. :guilty: So now I am going to miss prom, AND the military ball is the following weekend, YEP we are still at Disney, so I will be missing that also :scared1:. I have ordered my parent's and my sister in law (not the pregnant one) to take TONS of pictures, and post them on FB so I can see them while at Disney. Thank goodness it's not senior year, or I may have changed my dates.

The babies are due ANY MINUTE. SIL had some contractions last night, but they stopped. If she doesn't go into labor before the 25th they will do a C-section that day - 2 days before we leave for Disney.

So lets see what I am going miss -
1) Prom
2) Military Ball
3) twin nephews birth

UGGGGGG!!!!!

Ugh!!! That's just crazy - why is everything happening now at the same time - when your gone??!!!

DS just decided yesterday to go to the prom, and I had forgotten all about the Military ball, and I really thought the babies would have been here by now.

For those of you there now or headed this week and you need a laugh while in Epcot, head over to Test Track and watch this.....

The Test Track All Stars????????? REALLY? :rolleyes2

Dont get me wrong - They are very talented and I normally love accapella type singers but how much of a crowd is this REALLY gonna draw?? I think it was a total bandaide solution and I won't even walk over that way for it.

1 week from right now we are going to be at MK getting ready for Wishes Dessert Party! :thumbsup2

We are arriving a bit late due to the three hour time change, so we opted to go to dinner at the Rose & Crown and Illuminations. With a 4 year old we’re better off staying out of the MK for the first night! Now all we have to worry about is the weather...

Mike :wizard: DW princess: DS (4) pirate: DMIL princess:

First visit 1976, last visit WDW 2/2010 BC CL and DL GC 12/2010, future WDW 4/2012 POLY TPV, 7/2012 (off site meeting), 4/2013 POLY with Disney Dream cruise!

Don't forget this was at DLR (Disneyland, we are local to there!). I still have 5 days for WDW!! :)

So, my DBF might kill me, but I booked Tusker House for lunch on our AK day. I was going to leave AK day open to just get cheaper foods, but then it actually had an ADR still opened, and then I realized it would give me ANOTHER reason to upgrade to PhotoPass Plus!! I may cancel, but I only have a couple of days to do so....

Anyone have thoughts on TH (it's lunch)? Remember we are sans kids!

Oops! Forgot about DL! As for Tusker House, DH and I really liked it for lunch, but it's been a few years since we last went. We're trying to branch out instead of eating at the same places. They have a lot of variety (American and African) and it's nice to sit down in the AC! There are no characters for lunch, though, so I'm not sure PhotoPass would be a factor? If not Tusker House, try Flame Tree Barbque. Best counter service at AK in my opinion. Have fun!

I'm so glad you ultimately got exactly what you wanted!:dance3: I know you and your DD were so disappointed initially. Early pixie dust is always welcome, right? Have a great trip!:thumbsup2

Hey all, another great day in DW! Woke up this morning without an alarm clock at around 6:55. Caught the monorail and had breakfast at GF. My parents loved it there, I found it a tad too "Cinderella-ish" for my taste, but it was beautiful. I do feel bad for those staying there with all of the DVC construction by the pool.

After breakfast we caught the bus to Blizzard Beach, stayed there til around 1:00, then caught a bus to Coronado Springs, and transferred to another bus to get to Typhoon Lagoon. Of the two water parks, we preferred Typhoon Lagoon. Lines weren't too bad at either park, but it was WAY easier to get a chair in the shade at TL.

Dinner at Captain Cooks at the Poly and now we are resting in our room. DD is beat....TOMOROW is AK! :cool1:

Thanks for the updates Charity :) Glad to hear things are going so well :)

No problem! I would update more but the servers are wacky today! Had a rest, then went to the beach for a bonfire, roasted marshmallows and Lilo & Stich on the beach. how perfect is that?! Gone to bed now, up at 6:30 for AK!

I thought that I read that only dinner had no characters?? From the website Character Dining at Breakfast and Lunch:

As you enjoy a buffet breakfast or lunch, you can share your exciting safari stories with classic Disney Characters, like Safari Donald Duck and some of his favorite friends!

Donald's Dining Safari Breakfast at Tusker House features all-you-care-to-enjoy Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, honey-glazed ham and unique, flavorful dishes with an African influence.
Have fun with friendly Disney Characters as you savor the flavors of Africa during Donald's Dining Safari Lunch at Tusker House!

I double checked the PhotoPass + site and it says TH breakfast and lunch, so that's what I assumed? Can anyone confirm?
