OFFICIAL April 2012 DISers! 2 months and counting!

Ohana would be fun for all too. we used to love Chef Mickey's but the food and service have been going done hill over the last 5 years or so. Try it out if you want to see the Fab 5.

We really love Hoop Dee Doo. Both of my kids did too...they were 1 and 4 the first time they saw it. Even though there are no Disney characters, they really loved all the singing and dancing--they were totally occupied and enthralled the entire show! I was worried they would get bored, but that wasn't even an issue. And the adults like it for all the corny humor :)

But if your neice loves princesses, what about doing 1900 PF at the GF? Dinner at night is Cinderella, Prince Charming, her evil stepmother and her stepsisters. The characters are lots of fun at this meal.

Both the Spirit of Aloha show and Mickey's BBBQ can be cancelled for weather. You do get refunded if that happens, but then you wouldn't have an ADR for that night. The cancellations policy for all 3 shows is 48 hours in advanced.

Good luck deciding--there are so many choices!

I think we've decided on Chef Mickeys. We were able to get in earlier than MBYBBQ and I like the idea of getting to see the F5 so we don't have to sweat getting that done in the parks. Thanks for all the input. :)

I just have to say that I hadn't changed our countdown calendar on our kitchen wall in a LONG time and it was very exiting to see that we are officially down to the double digits! Only 93 days and counting!!!!!!!!!!!

I just signed up for DIS today after lurking for quite a while. Our family of 7 will be going to Disney April 12-22. :cool1:

99 days!!!!! Double digits! Anyone else staying at AKL?

I wish!
We're staying off property this year with my parents to save $$.
Are you going the same time as me 14-22? I figured since you lived in MA it would be the same week. I can't believe how close it is already!!
I have to start thinking about what we need. My DS14's feet are groing like a weed I think he might need new flip flops.

we are going April 11th-20th. our school vacation week was scheduled for april 16th -20th. we picked leaving the wed before to save money on airfare, got a great price on Jetblue out of BDL. Then that snowstorm hit us and our school district took away our april vaca :scared1: OH WELL. We booked DVC points from a co worker and got a great deal...so yeah we are staying at AKV in Jambo house in a studio. I hear you on growing boys! My DS 13 is getting taller by the minute! Hope both boys fit on that pullout couch or I'm in big trouble  Happy Planning to all april Disers :cutie:

OMG!! We are flying out of BDL too for the first time b/c of the awesome airfares.:thumbsup2
We got $99 one way. I think I heard about them here on the Dis. I have never paid less than $200 one way for April vacation out of PVD. I can't understand why it's such a difference in price but I'll take it. So it is definately worth the 2 hr. drive.
101 Days!!!!:woohoo: (almost double digits)

maybe it was me that told you to look into BDL!!! We fly out of there every year. We are about 35 minutes from the airport. WOW 2 hours? Where in MA are you? Parking at Galaxy Self Park right behind the Roncari parking is EXCELLENT! Great prices and easy to and from the airport. Its right across the street practically. They take AAA too. Check them out!

We live in Somerset, about 20 min. east of Providence. Where in MA are you? We're only 30 min from PVD where we usually fly out of. so 2 hrs. is long for us to drive to the airport, but like i said before it saved us a TON of $$.
Thanks for the parking tip.:thumbsup2 I'll check it out.

We are staying on rented DVC points in a studio at Jambo house 4/8-4/14; so maybe our paths will cross. Can't wait!!!

Denamac we are staying in a studio too!!! cool :goodvibes We are in western ma...Ludlow. My sister lived in East Prov for years and now is in Rehoboth, but teaches in Barrington so I know all about the Providence area:lmao: BDL is an easy airport to get in and out of, you'll like it! The Sheraton that is attached to it is nice too, if you can get a good deal on a night there it includes parking in their garage. Easy to walk right to the terminal from, just another idea depending on when your flight is ;)

just curious of any of you who are staying at the Poly are requesting certain longhouses? I requested Tokelau...seems somewhat central and I like that we'll definitely have either a balcony or patio (a must for us)! I was tempted to request Somoa, but I think in the end it will be best that our girls can't see the volcano pool from our room, lol!

Joining in - finally booked our spring break vacation - we will be staying at AS Music form March 31 - April 6th. At this point we are driving, but if I can find miracle airfare cheap, we might be fly. Looking forward to some sunshine!

You're probably right that Tokelau is the most central location between the GCH and TTC - and reading the boards, it is a popular location for requests. I thought about it, and decided just to make a request for a balcony or a patio room and not designate a longhouse.

Could anyone tell me what kind of clothes we should pack for April? T-shirts and jeans or will I be able to do shorts and tank tops?
